I found out a while ago that the writers were actually under a “no romance” rule, which honestly answers a bunch of questions I had as to the lack of it in the game.

it’s good they did bcuz in my opinion there’s romance in too many games/shows/movies although it is a nice touch to add you become tired of it eventually one of the reason i really love this game

Probably, this game is targeted on the younger audience, which it would be inappropriate to include in this, though it's still a pass for family-friendly shows, like in Disney Channel shows.

I've always thought it was a cool detail how the creators stayed true to Lukas' body language and how it's different from other characters. Like in episode 7, when Petra comes to, she doesn't hug Jesse back; rather, she stiffens up until released without returning it at all. When Jesse hugs Lukas, he does reciprocate, despite his body being super sore. It doesn't necessarily have to be interpreted as a romantic gesture, but it also can be. I just really love the idea that Lukas is more physically affectionate than...well, any other character in the series, maybe aside from Jesse. It matches his character so well.

Maybe he did it as a sign that he's still friends with jesse Petra and jesse are best friends and best friends can get away with more stuff than regular friends can

It's great that players have the option to ship either M/F jessie with either Lukas or Petra. It's basically left up to interpretation and all are considered canon. It's one of the many things I loved about this game.

Interesting fact: If in episode 4 you don't let Lucas go after the Ocelots and take him with you to distant lands, then in Ivor's laboratory Jesse will tell Olivia that Lucas has gorgeous hair. Also a good moment

I really like this. It's like Lucas is someone that the main characters didn't get along with well at first, but with the right attitude and choices imo, you get to see how he becomes best friends with Jesse. This is so much in real life where if you get a chance to talk to someone you haven't really interacted with well and willing to start a friendship with them you get to know them better

I thought Lukesse is dead in 2022 but I didn't think some of us still ship it to this day. At least I'm not the only one :'D

8:45, I’ve been so obsessed with this clip lately, I’ve seen it a lot in all the Lukesse ship videos of songs. I can’t tell which ship I like better Jetra or Lukesse. Both Petra and Lukas are my favorite characters, I love how they all get along! Ugh! There were so many clips in this video that made me so excited. Like the PAMA episode, when you save him at the waterfalls or wait until PAMA’s been put down. God, I hate having to choose between that part, I get so excited over it, their both so good, so cute! Like it, but I completely agree that the game is Amazing as it is, because it is an adventure game and not a romance, and this is what we want, if you want that you can see millions of movies about that, but we want it to be an adventure game and to suit all ages, in short, stay the same, I love adventures, and I have never found adventure games this great without exaggeration, I really hope it bring back

Certainly it's an adventure game above all else, but shipping is kind of an inevitable part of any community. In this case, it's harmless entertainment. I just think they're adorable. I agree though, it would be cool if it, and similar such games could come back and be appreciated more. About adventures, and the friends we make along the way, I'd say that was the wholistic meaning behind Minecraft Story Mode if anything. Thanks for the comment!

The reason this game lacks in romance because it is obviously a partnership between Telltales and Mojang. Telltales are the creators of Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us which have tough language usage. Mojang on the other hand are creators of Minecraft which is an "all ages" game. So when the two partnered, Mojang requested Telltales to make it an adventure game and NEEDS to lack in romance.
