Here's the story behind the Warden. Some of you might find this interesting. The warden was originally called "stalker" and would reside in a totem-covered biome where it would remain statue-like until some reckless player would try to grab its chest crystal, causing it to come to life.

Personally i think that the golem wandered in the caves until it found the ancient city, where there was people or something lived there it could protect. And overtime it evolved.

Actually the wardens are are prehistoric axolotls it makes sense because they are very similar because of the internals on their heads and if you put them in pink you'll see a Axolotl of some sort just try it

The myth about the Warden being undead actually makes a lot of sense, because when is spawns, it comes out of the ground. And it also makes sense if it were an undead Iron Golem, because they sound somewhat similar when they grunt or die.

I think that villagers rebuilt the ruined portals not knowing what they would do and the walked in. They explored the nether but all of the died in the lava, turning them into wither skeletons, that's why they look burnt. That process repeated and the villager skeletons now live in the fortresses

This is a theory from MatPat about the nether: piglins might have been angry because the ancient builders had taken what was most precious to them. Netherite. They're bastions are made of netherite bricks. The ancient builders might have taken and used all the fresh netherite the piglins needed to defend. The wither skeletons might have been the ancient builders warped by the heat to become WITHER skeletons. BUUT those theories are very solid and I agree with almost all. MatPats theories are also very solid and have lots of evidence for them.

That makes sense, a couple weeks ago, I was playing Minecraft, and I saw a army of piglins, we’re talking at least 10

My theory is 1. the warden is actually the original golems in the nether to protect its valuables like netherite but the ancient builders took it away and the warden followed them to their underground city or now called as the ancient city. There was a war that cause all the ancient builders to extinct. And after the war the ancientcity was covered with sculk which is the souls of the ancient builders

I am pretty sure the villagers were just checking on the test subjects, and i think that the crimson forest is just flesh blood on the old nether forest.

Also about the warden being the iron golem when a iron golem dies it falls to the ground and a warden comes out of the ground

The real story about wardens was they were living outdoor but then they got banished and they lost the vision to see.

The warden was not born from an undead iron golem it was a mechanical Warden that was used in the ancient times in a city down in the caves the same deep dark except more life was a scene the warden was the protector of the villagers down in that place the only way to free it from its prison is to find the secret song and it's not from a music disc it's from a flute if you want me to continue the story I will

From the Warden there were villages underground made by ancient builders, and the warden was probably a iron golem to the villages underground. But, maybe when mobs from the underground found the deep dark, they overrun the village and left the warden alone. While he was living alone, he probably lost his eye sight and did not recognize anyone anymore, causing him to become a hostile mob.

Hey when you see the pov of the warden is because if you are blind inside of the warden what's the point of becoming the warden if you can't see so the devs made you able to see or in lore he can see out of the souls in him

The wether found a way to escape the nether and started chasing the ancient builders. They ran under ground to find shelter. Some found the deep dark and built cities. They found about the warden and put carpets all around the city to stay safe but the wither found them and started destroying the city. The warden was awakened and killed the wither plus all the ancient builders. The skulck spread and the souls of the ancient builders turned into pieces of discs used to open the portal to the skulk dimension.

The rest of the ancient builders built the strong hold and hid in the end. They only had corus fruit to eat and slowly turned into endermen. One of them found the way to teleport back to the over world and found…… Steve. He teleported to a witch who turned him into the first MUTANT ENDER-MEN!

So I have a theory about why the zombified piglins hate the wither skeletons. When lightning strucks a pig what does it turn into? A zombified piglin. So when the pigs turned into them the villagers, their owners banished them to the nether. But little did the villagers know the pigs gained intelligence and build all kinds of structures like the bastion. So when the villagers then travelled to the nether they were killed by the zombified piglins but the villagers then were reincarnated as the wither skeletons. When the zombified piglins found out that the villagers reincarnated into the wither skeletons they were furious so they raged war against them and it never ended... So yes that's my theory
