Yo I had the ghast thing happen to me but because I was on bedrock edition it bugged out and the ghasts fired at me while I was in the loading screen. It took about 30 minutes of bugs and glitches sending me back through to the overworld when i finally got through and killed the 3 ghasts before they could destroy my portal and send me to the overworld (as I never got into nether during this fiasco) It was incredibly annoying. Barricaded my portal as soon as I killed the ghasts. TL:DR 3 Ghasts Fired at me while I was in the loading screen and didn’t let me go in the nether even after I switched to peaceful
