@@ICE0124 Why would it affect this? MC uses separate mobcaps for different types of mob. Considering the Allay seems like a pet mob, it's probably going to use the passive mobcap rather than the hostile mobcap. Also any named mobs don't count towards any mobcap at all, so there's that too

I love the allay I’m glad it’s in the mob vote

I think it only won because people didn’t understand what it does, how many different items get dropped that aren’t just picked up by us

I find the Allay to be a bit more useful than the glare for one or two reasons: 1) it gathers items to save inventory space 2) it brings back more of the same item off of the ground 3) it’s freaking adorable!

But the glare let’s you know when mobs gonna spawn. I mean, that’s much more useful. The allay just seems like an exploit that just gets more items, yes it’s useful but items are already a focused topic in updates. We need more things in the dark. It won't get more blocks, kingbdogs tweeted that it will pick items up on the ground that are the same as the item you gave it, let's say you dropped some stone down a ravine, give the allay some stone and it will collect the one you dropped in the ravine instead of duplicating it, hope this clears things up

You have to manually give it an item to gather first every time you want it to gather something, so you can't really make an AFK/auto farm with it.

As much as I like the glare, the Allay seems to be way more useful. I wouldn't mind bringing a team of them with me while I cut trees or mine.

This one is definitely getting my vote so far. The endless redstone possibilities and creative uses, the new game mechanics, it's awesome! You could for example use it as a redstone input. Have droppers with different items drop an item (or use chests, if it can access those), then give the allay an item and whichever way it goes will trigger a tripwire

@@chewy99. Sorry bro, you saw how the glow squids won. This mob is by far the best and cutest yet but the most useless one yet (grumpy cave monster) is gonna win because it's useless. Like come on Mojang! Why do we need to find dark areas where monsters can spawn? To get sent to the respawn button maybe?

If the third one isn’t hostile, this will be a perfect mob vote.

People don’t seem to understand the allay properly, it gathers items that are _already dropped on the ground_ . Could be helpful in farms, using them to shuttle items instead of making transportation systems. Their utility will depend on what their range is.

I found this mob very useless becuse of that, there are close to none items you probably find naturally drooped and naturally dropped items are very bad. Its usually moss or other things. So it will probably do nothing.

@@IForgor._.952 nah, Ifs actually very useful for me. let’s say that you are collecting trees and the ground is filled with apples, sticks, and saplings. All you have to do is tell them to pick it up. On top of that, the amount of red stone contraptions you can use for this thing is Incredible. The allay is way better than a guy who touches buttons and a shrub that tells players when it’s dark enough for mobs to spawn like if we didn’t already know.

I like how people expect this to a be a dupe entity. But i think this guy just collects matching items that are laying on the floor. Imagine how would the alley work in game.

@@checkit4726 the allay might be the most useful, but the copper golem adds more features. Also if they do add it finding an old copper golem in caves would be really cool and add to the atmosphere.
