So this is "Minecraft Life" while the other Alex&Steve series is "Alex and Steve Life"? I love how this feels like an alternative timeline, I just hope that the "Alex and Steve Life" is not overlooked because of this new series. I think the different style of animation is a great way to keep the two series distinct without getting people too confused.

Let's clear some stuff up for all those wondering. This animation style is just for this particular series (maybe more in the future). This is not the same series as the alex and steve life we have been getting. The other Alex and Steve Life series hasn't ended, and we can expect more from that series in the og style in the near future. Also, please don't have a go at the animators for changing the style or anything about Songs of War. This style looks AWESOME, and there is so much drama and complications behind Songs of War. No one at Squared Media needs this negativity. Now, onto my feedback. The animation was incredible, but that lighting, OMG, it was something special. I can't wait for more.

The animation was very nice, but I find the old style more realistic and better.🙂

I love how its the same story, and yet it isn't. those who remember watching the original are filled with nostalgia and those who haven't are still swept away by the story of a man who really, really, really, wanted his sword back. Given what it does I cannot blame him.

The animation quality is breathtaking. You guys make it look more and more realistic every time. Major props!

I kind of miss the old textures, and it feels a little bit weird, but I nevertheless like the story, which is told in this new series. It is like a new alternative storyline of the known Alex and Steve adventure story. I am curious to see how this will turn out, as well as I Hope to see more of the original story aswell. Cool animations and idea.

glad to see you guys experimenting!! though the old animation style looks better and less awkward. i feel like the old ones are more expressive and the fighting scenes fits more also the sniffer texture feels out of place 🤔

I will say it. As a Minecraft Vanilla fan, I kinda like more seeing the Mojang Style animation rather that the Squared Media ones, but is just because minecrafty, still liking a lot the old BlackPlasma Style one :)

You all have come such a long way with how great animation life was. Now we got Minecraft life 🎉

Btw. why did you copy this here while saying that its useless here? As the writers have written, its a retelling of the animation vs live series in mojang style, I think more as a side project and really a parody and something more funny. i love minecraft’s official animation style (the style they use for update trailers). it captures the aspect of the game; simplistic yet beautiful.

Ok, so now that I've watched this I do have some things to say, for a start, great animation as always, next thing may sound negative though, in all honesty I prefer the normal animation style, it's more expressive and tells the story better than the style used in this animation, 3rd thing, when Steve was running away from the village before meeting Alex, did anyone else notice that cute little fox sleeping in the woods?

The animations are very good and I like the retelling of the original story, but to me it feels like the characters here are missing depth compared to the original story. It feels like this animation only consists of high tension action scenes (there's a fight, then there's a chase, then steve has this reaction to the stone building containing the sword, then herobrine arrives, then alex arrives, then herobrine arrives again), instead of scenes focusing on the characters and offering a break from the action. For example, in the original animation life, Steve got a dog, which result in fun, slow pace scenes and also emotional scenes when the dog got injured. There were also more characters interacting with each other, whereas here everyone except Alex, Steve and Herobrine are background characters.

I mean you are not wrong, but it is still only the first episode and showing emotions, feelings etc. is really hard to do without voices. For Skyfall deciding not to use facial expressions as well, he's done a pretty good job in showing us what's going on. I assume the story will obtain more depth and character development in the future. Last thing I got, which you probably already know: I don't think this is supposed to just be Animation Life all over again. Imagine AL but without all the scenes of the animators, it wouldn't really be much different(yes I know, stupid example but I'm trying my best)

​​@@Taserface__Even for the first part, it's still an eleven minute animation and compared to other animations like Icebound, Wither Storm War or the first zombie apocalypse, those take more time to introduce the important characters, the place, the objective etc. We'll probably get more insight on the characters in future episodes, that's true, but I still think that this animation is too tightly packed nonetheless. It's not bad, but contains a bit too much action. I've noticed a similar thing with "Do not eat". Because this is a series of animations, there would even be more room to push these action scenes further back and lower the pace, than with a standalone animation. Writing these stories can probably be difficult, I've never done it, and it's free eleven minute entertainment, so I'm still very thankful for their work of course.

@@Papierkorb2292 You think that the action scenes should've been pushed further back and instead they should have focused more on the characters, I think that since this is a series they can first do some action while still being able to focus on the characters later on in the series. Other than that I believe I fully agree with you. It seemed as they tried to put as much entertaining action in these 11 minutes as possible, which some fans prefer more than others.

Based on how many tridents Alex has I can confirm that this is the alternate timeline of animation life in bedrock

Herobrine is always made a villain and for some reason with the ability to subdue electricity. But what makes you think he's bad? In appearance? It would be quite possible to implement a film/series about revealing him as a positive character.

I like the new animation a lot (reminds me of Element Animations)! That being said, I still hope they use the old texture with most other animations since that's the style we all come to know and love from Squared Media/Black Plasma Studios.

I know this is experimental so I won’t be so critical about it. First of all, this is pretty good animation it may look quite awkward at times (especially walking yeeesh) but honesty pretty good for your first take on the Mojang trailer style. And would actually love to see where you’d head with this A small tip, mouths would probably help with this, whether you want to make the mouth pixelated is your choice

Yeah this new style is something new some definitely will hate it, but i think its a breath of fresh air (and this is based on mojang animations and these are more funny than serious so). I personally enjoyed it. The fights were a bit weird for me, but other than that it was good. Looking forward for part 2. Also herobrine was as always done spectacularly (easily best part of video)

Agreed, and they kinda already outdone themselves with the „Desert Arena“ fighting choreography. So I don’t blame em. And I think they just wanted to show how inexperienced Steve was at this point… But other than that, I agree❤

The Lighting on this animation is immaculate

I love it! The animation style is fun and different, I really like it. The old style will always hold a special place in my heart, especially with the sheer realistic qualities of it, but you still manage to convey a lot of emotions with this one and I am really loving it. My only hope is that Alex doesnt turn into a damsel in distress again, I love her character and in my opinion she gets knocked our and/or captured a bit too much in the og story. Idk i havent seen it in a while I might be misrememebering it. Correct me if im wrong ;)

Although this style of painting is not very refined, I seem to like this type of plot more and the more realistic style of painting is not a bad thing. I hope you can continue to update.
