In the spirit of learning about bamboo, the sword is actually the correct tool to break bamboo. That's also probably why you're seeing extra durability loss on your axe. **Edit** As noted below, it's actually not causing extra damage to the axe, but it will cause 2 points of damage per break to a sword. The best solution is to just use a piston + slime blocks to insta-break them for free.

You know that Bdubs knows how to build when he places the door 3 blocks above the ground. The awesome stair makes all the different from a ordinary house to a super cool house.
"They will not be free. They will be very expensive" 😂😂😂 Also, way to throw down the gauntlet for other shops in the area.
Ooh... funny fact about cyberpunk; the most common settings are visually based on Hong Kong and Tokyo - both very hilly places. London and LA are also common settings, although they're far more flat. Point being; even if you flatten the area, it's still good to keep a mountain in the background. Hong Kong used to be far more hilly, but as they flattened it out they dumped the material into the harbour to make reclaimed land. When I used to live in HK they had just finished most of these projects, and they used to joke that Hong Kong "pushed their mountains into the sea so they could build on both". Anyway point being; if the theme is Cyberpunk, don't feel too pressured to keep it flat.
@analogbunny
Ай бұрын
Also also... the old Mtv animated series _Æon Flux_ was also a Cyberpunk city on a hill _and_ the city was surrounded by high walls. Obviously not everything needs to be inspired by something, but Cyberpunk dystopias are upkept with major policing networks and security projects. _Blade Runner_ and _Ghost in the Shell_ were focused on police, and _Akira_ and _Johnny Mnemonic_ were focused on criminals. Crime and law enforcement are weirdly central to Cyberpunk stories.

i’d love to see Bdubs have a nighttime arc, where he discovers his love for nighttime and its beautiful lighting. Bdubs then goes on a journey of mastering his nighttime lighting skills, and turning his builds into beautiful pieces of nocturnal art, he no longer is scared of the dark, and doesn’t need to carry a bed with him everywhere he goes. Bdubs has less stress in his life, is happier and we get to benefit from seeing his beautiful storytelling in a twilight sense instead of in the daytime >>>>
I love how Bdubs has to clarify that the prices will, of course, be expensive. Squeeze the hermits for every drop!
Shop idea: s 1. Set up auto crafter for crafting scaffoldings and let hermits have access to it. 2. Sell string and bamboo together in a bundle. 3. Make a sign that says "please do NOT temporarily put your bamboo and string to the auto crafter or they'll turn into scaffoldings, which i don't have permit for selling

Bamboo is such a perfect block for bdubs. It's green, there's Redstone involved, and it's really easy to get 😁 BAM (BOO)
I think glow ink on the mosaic sign would help it pop even more and since it’s a premium product I’m guessing you want it to be as eye catching as possible to promote business
I love what you did with the podzol under the deepslate roof, it took me a minute to realize the building was flush with the roof. You are an artist and a genius
Bdubs: Can I get the permit to sell scaffolding? Grian: Please hold.
Helpful tip: Preferred tool for chopping bamboo is the sword, so using the axe costs 2 durability when breaking instead of 1.
Using the inbuilt gradient of the podzol near the top of the mosaic building is unbelievable
A lot of hermits I just watch on the side (mostly just listening) while I play minecraft myself, but some hermits (including Bdubs) make such beautiful videos that it feels wrong to just listen, I want to give it all my attention.
Love the design for your shop. Tell Etho about the wall. Etho has done a lot of pixel art over the years.
If I’m not mistaken Bdubs, scaffolding should fall under the bamboo blocks. Especially if you get to sell all bamboo items

The bamboo is free but it's five diamonds for the shulker box in comes in.
you dont need the bamboo farm near your shop, but you could have a chest on the roof, where you just drop bamboo, and then inside you would have autocrafters doing the work and stocking the chests. PERFECT REDSTONE
I love the storytelling of these videos. Especially the scenes with just the music with the third person cam telling a story
perfect timing for a Bdub Cinematic Experience
That last frame with the shaders and the music really took me by surprise. It feels so nostalgic and beautiful.
The idea with the graffiti wall is amazing. I would be like r/place
*@BdoubleO100* 3:12 Use a *Sword* instead, for instant cutting, even with a wooden sword. You can just make some iron swords (non-enchanted) & move it all down in a few minutes.
I love our favorite little shopkeepers style! The small details you put in make a big difference. Even the tiniest of things go a long way. No shortsightedness from Bdubs
Bdubs: The building will be plain. HUH?
Maybe put a heavily fortified ghost in the shell style checkpoint at joels torii gate. It would tie the two areas together by justifying the different styles: the old traditional stuff is locked off from the dystopian society dwelling below...
By far the best looking shop in the shopping district

@GSBarlev
Ай бұрын
@@bobosaurus331For sure. He taught Etho everything he knows, and this season he's taking Impulse under his wing.
13:10 It doesn't, it just feels like much because you are using it often in a shot amount of time. Let's say you have a 20x20 patch of Bamboo (which is fairly small) that's already 400 uses (minus Unbreaking) on your axe. For woord this would be like 60-ish small oak trees, which would take a lot longer to chop. This is one of the reason why people often build flying machine farms. Not only is it afkable, but also better to collect with hopper minecarts (since walking is a pain between the one high stems) and it safes a lot of durability on tools.
Awesome shop. If you had one of those new fangled Post Boxes at your base and another at your shop you could post a bamboo filled shulker to your shop to save having to carry it.
Another thing you can add to the scaffolding test would be to have them go back up. A lot of times you need to go up and down multiple times when building. With dirt you have to pillar back up to get to the same spot when with scaffolding you can leave it and travel on it.
You could make "Shulker Box deals" if you strike a deal with Beef/Doc and make a bamboo shulker full of all the goodies if single items don't sell well!
Farms will definitely help you a lot with producing bamboo products, especially if you can set up auto crafters to automatically create all of the unique products.
Doc: "They will all *PAY* for making me dig sand!" The Hermits: "Yeah, Doc is on some kind of revenge spree, don't really know what for though."
I think Bdubs needs to be in control of the shopping area aesthetic
The wall was a good idea; hermits can come texture and graffiti it as they like to add character. But your shop looks PHENOMENAL!! Man, you hit that out of the park!
