For some reason I really enjoyed the conversation with Oscar the Robot. 🤖

Oscar the robot was so darn cute 😭 he just wanted a pal to walk with

Also, Oscar the Robot has been attending my fair since I was born here in FL and he is the sole reason I am, to date, terrified of robots. Now when I'm at the fair I just like to play "can you spot the operator". Lol The guy is pretty cool and blends well among the crowds! Oscar is a classic and it's fascinating far he travels for fairs!

The mythical creature just before Oscar came up, is a griffin. It is very well done, and you don't see many of them today. Very nice state fair, here in New Jersey. Very nice of you to take us along here, Jacob! Thank you for another quality entertaining video.

I'm personal friends with the Wallenda family and they're literally all across the US keeping the circus traditions alive. Lol Great people and very talented!

They at least could have tried a bit harder, like painting some moving stuff like redstone (the mineral that conducts some sort of electricity in Minecraft)

I believe the second robot you saw was built by a local high school robotics club in association with the Picatinny Arsenal, which is where the Picatinny Rail was developed, which is a means to attach accessories to the M16 rifle.

You made it to my local fair! I always recommend the polish food by the 4h show building. I went Sunday and Monday, the latter being a washout from a downpour.

Thank you for this one, I did the Carnival thing with a GF who was a carnie. And we did this spot in 2005 in Sussex county.

This is so awesome! I grew up going to this fair, it used to be called the Sussex County Farm & Horse Show. Always been my favorite!

I run a Minecraft server for me, my wife, and our friends. We're all in our 50's and we all need some relaxing escape from our busy lives with our jobs, and the kids. So we hop on the server and play for a few hours together every week. It gives us something to do, and helps us relax, chill out, and get creative. We do all kinds of things depending on our mood. We build stuff. We have competitions. We sometimes play super difficult hardcore maps full of danger. I've had this server running for years and every time we get together and play, we're always learning some new thing or new and fun ways to do stuff, and there's always some new creative thing we're all working on. We never run out of ideas and just the fact that the game is so relaxing and social, I don't think we're going to stop playing anytime soon.

I always forget how fantastic New Jersey is, beyond where it borders Philly or New York. Great video as always Jake!

Hahahaha... that Minecraft funhouse reminded me of the one time Stranger Things season 3 came out, our city's fair had rides that were themed from the show (collaborated with netflix to do so), and the glass/mirror maze had cool graphics on the outside, but the inside was just the same old funhouse that barley worked.. most rides just had the theme playing, with a bit of artwork..

Gotta luv the Gravitron. I may be the only senior citizen once/if I’m that old who will be seen on Gravitron’s wherever they may be.

I was just there yesterday. Have lived in Sussex County my whole life and went to the fair almost every year. I actually just went yesterday the 12th so I guess I missed you by a day.

The Zipper was always my favorite carnival ride, even back when I was a little kid in the early 70's. They've always fascinated them and they're definitely one of the most distinctive and unique flat rides, and I always loved that strange, unique, whirring, sound that their motor makes when they're running. They're made by Chance Rides and they still build them. I haven't seen one here in my home state in decades though. All the fairs and carnivals here seem to have gotten rid of thrill rides and only have kiddie rides now. Also, nowadays, they don't run the Zippers, and a lot of classic flat rides anywhere NEAR the speeds that they used to run them. The Zippers in this video is running at easily half the speed that they used to be run back in the 70's and 80's. They really slowed it down for some reason. I've noticed that with a lot of classic old flat rides nowadays whenever I do encounter them. They seem to run all of them at a much slower speed than they used to. I don't know why, but I'm assuming there's state regulations or something playing a role.

Maybe so many people getting whiplash 😂 I learned early on to ride on the outside of the scrambler if I was the bigger person so I wouldn't squish the other person 😸

We have a wooden roller coaster. Built board by board in 1958, the Wooden Roller Coaster is Playland's most historic and spectacular attraction.

If you come to the Iowa State Fair, you should consider doing the park and ride option. For $2 round-trip (or $1 if you already purchased admission tix), you can take a Dart bus that will drop you off at the gate. Much better option than paying to park and trying to get in/out of the parking lots

Jacob Next year go to the NJ State Fair at the meadowlands. Its around the end of June/early July. They had 2 dark rides there this year and they were descent.

I always used to go to this one every year. But its been some time now.

Loved this! Next time you are in NJ you should check out Space Farms Zoo and Museum in Sussex. A very unique place.

In Europe, multiple operators will descend on an event, so you tend to pay in cash and get a card-sized or normal token that's taken when you embark the ride

Wow Reithoffer! We have Reithoffer that comes to Pensacola Intrerstate Fairgrounds in Oct. As a matter of fact it opens this Thursday Oct 19th, I believe at 4PM. Have no idea if it is the same Reithoffer. Now I want to go just to see if it is the same one. Even though I have not been to the fair in a long time.

Nick Wallanda and his wife have a show at SILVER DOLLAR CITY. He even greets people for pictures and autographs after the show. There is also merchandise like a $10 Nick bobblehead which is very cool.

There are not 50 state fairs. Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine have the Eastern States Exposition aka The Big E. It is our Official State Fairs rolled into one. This year it runs from September 15 to October 1, in Springfield, Ma. I live in Connecticut, and I’ve been going to this for the past 40 years. It is our state fair. We’re going again this year.
