Its not mojang patching, its the server owners/plugin authors. Mojang has nothing to do with the server systems. They dont like these servers either, but there are simply too many of them

I love how some players, while spending time and money on a p2w server, were still onboard instantly with the idea of crashing the economy of the server to help shut it down.

Best security is still human eyes on the case. If you got an inactive mod/admin team, you can have all the plugins sounding alarms you want, but they're useless if no one is going to respond. I've caught cheaters while at work by just having the console open and responding to plugin notifications. That ban screen really comes out of the blue when you think you're the only one online.

@@Koowluh A p2w server I frequent and even used to be staff for does this as well, a lot of the times staff are online and invisible and constantly watch other players especially newbies to make sure they aren’t x-raying or duping, one of the admins I was friends with basically summed it up as they vanish themselves so they don’t appear on tab and afk all night then watch every newbie for 15 minutes each before swapping and repeat. It makes it very hard to cheat ontop of all the plugins, you’d have to be a regular with a paid rank for staff to not look at you. A good staff team will always be better than plugins doing auto moderation for you.

case study proves you wrong - mojang is too big to take down the tiny people. Hypixel (huge) had a gamemode, and they added a p2w feature. So, mojang sent a legal letter saying "hey, could you remove that or change your game at it's core to make money not a progression factor" and they made money no longer a progression factor

@@roadflames i’d say so, it made the experience more fun. I’d never drop $300 on anything in the game tho. And the server is slightly less p2w, you can get 100 of the paid currency that you use to buy keys & ranks every day now.

idea: so what if you make large stashes of duped items on a p2w server, wait a long time like a few months or longer, then come back and give them away or give away coords, that way they cant reset or go back without erasing months of work by the players.

Then, the staff would load a backup from just before the dispersal started (chat logs would provide near exact timestamp as people act confused having gotten expensive items) and delete the stash before making the world public again... Even if dupe stash is hidden, they just need to have a plugin logging player locations and a list of suspects. Trying to use proxy accounts and hide from logging software doesn't do much as it's possible to compare player location data and figure out what accounts have interacted, as well as stuff like what blocks were placed and by who (making hoppers not an option) and explosions (blocking tnt, creepers, etc.) as well as access logs for containers and item drops/pickup. All these events can be logged relatively easily, so if the server can afford a couple extra hard drives worth of space and someone who can parse the data, it's possible to figure it out. Maybe not easy, but definitely possible for a server with the income that p2w servers have

If I understood correctly, pretty much. Each "high-value" item has a unique ID and if multiple are found (which is impossible without duping), then it alerts staff.

Whats really funny is how related different dupes can be, I recently learned about a dupe in Hypixel Skyblock that functioned very similar to this, with purposefully delaying ones packets to trick the server into thinking the user sold the same item multiple times.

The way I see them is that they’re bait for: A) Rich kids to sink some cash in no sweat B) Probably the most likely one, they try to get birthday and/or holiday money to be spent on it. The way how I see it, most kids would get their holiday money in a big burst, and they will realise that it’s their one opportunity to get the expensive rank, for that they know that their parents won’t spend 300+ dollars on them, so they spend it all at once.

life is good when on youtube someone uploads: -metal detector videos -pay 2 win minecraft server demolition -the next part of the looney tunes reviewed series -wild boar hunting

If I am not mistaken there is also another exploit that gives you a GHOST_ID. meaning you are on the server when you are not on the server. This can be caused by extreme lag. meaning you are essentially Immortal and unbannable.

as you explained this I was starting to patch my plugins lol. massive props for all this though!

I played enough vanilla Minecraft to know not only that there needs to be a 1 block gap for the bookshelf's to take effect, but also that the max bookshelf's that can effect one table is 15. Any extra are purely aesthetic and corner ones simply don't effect it. I personally like to put 5 on the three sides where there is no door. Then I can place them in arches.

Hey, thank you so much for this. I used to be in love with this server a few years back and spent 250$ for slurp and lbux. I heard dupertrooper wouldn’t dupe on loverfellas server so I got upset when I quit but this is really amazing. The trickery that he uses is insane. Me and my friend caused him to shut one of his events down because we were exposing him on a live Publix char. He basicly gave everyone the opportunity to talk to him for 30$ every 5min. It is such a scam and I’m very thankful for you guys doing this!

they're not exactly what you would call favored, so it makes perfect sense that more than a few uhhhh "un-admirers" have already... visited this server

To be fair, using the daily keys doesn't seem that bad to me because you dont lose anything as you get them for free, its everything else that is bad

When I used to play on this one modded Minecraft server they had a RANK you could buy where you could spawn in items. I forget the price of the RANK but do clearly remember it being under $100 US dollars. I had that RANK and they had a major rule for those who had it which was the following. You could not give away items to other players and could not sell items that was created by stuff that was spawned in. So you could not sell say Iron Ingots that was made in a machine that you spawned in. My self I bought the RANK to support the server and only used the spawn in command for testing reasons only. Once I tested my thinking process out I destroyed the stuff I spawned in.

Now someone has to invent some kind of technology or program that when activated on a server kills that server in its entirety to the point it physically can't be brought back... Then when they inevitably make a new server, drop the server nuke again and send a message that going against Mojangs EULA. Have dedicated bomber squadrons that target specific target p2w servers and get the message across that p2w is against EULA, they can't get away with it and if mojang won't do anything as they are probably being paid hush money... Then the bomber squadron are sent in. Would be absolutely hilarious and would send a effective message. Its sad to see that servers can get away with it.

I used to watch loverfellas videos and I thought his server looked fun I had no idea how badly ptw it was.

I love how DuperTrooper is so dedicated that he's never actually played Minecraft, and 9 yr old me could have told him that too 😂. Anyway, great work, keep it up. P2W is such a huge issue and it needs to be stopped

I think that this server should be burned to the ground. He aims at younger audiences, calls himself "LoverFella", rankups are called "Lick" and "Slurp"... Man on a thin line of being a pdf file

Personally, I don't like duping/ruining minecraft servers, because even though some may be "P2W", some people can still like it for the features. ... but Lover fellas ranks are... 200, 300 USD. to hell with it. Deploy tactical nuclear bombs to the server hosters, I don't care. I just want less money donated to rich people

That's kinda the entire point of the anti pay to win movement, at least the genuine ones in the community.. but p2w can easily become a can of worms you can never close again, since of course a lot of people only see dollar signs when hosting servers, so couple relative popularity with making it p2w, you will almost always have that one who pays for everything to get ahead of everyone, there is the issue with p2w, cuz a lot of people don't realize or refuse to accept that even PvE can be p2w too and I'd argue is often even worse.. there are other options for monetization that aren't p2w but they are a bit more limited but they do exist, at least in Minecraft terms, hypixel is the best example I can think of off the top of my head. I don't usually agree with vigilante justice either but it's like you said to stop lazy rich people from getting richer

Minecrafts tos say you cant have p2w, you should only be able to sell cosmetics. Plus the whole loverfella thing is that it's directed at children, and most of the p2w stuff is very close to being adult themed. Plus he's interacted with minors in the not okay way.

Also one of the ranks is called "licker" which uhh.. this is a server targeted at minors

Each of the valuable items has an id only that one item can have, so if you try to place a second version of that single id the mods automatically get alerted

legends say this guy is still openning crates.

You know the server is crazy P2W when even the dupers didn’t mind using blocks of ores as flooring.

There are going to be allegations against this guy at some point. The rank names are a bit concerning.

His videos have really bad like to dislike ratio. More than half the time there are actually more dislikes than likes on his videos, and the rest of the time the difference between like and dislikes is so little it doesn't even matter. Seriously, his myth vid legit has 3x more dislikes than likes. I don't get how or why he still has fans, or why the parents haven't noticed their children spending money on ranks named "Licker" and "Gobbler" like what? And I am quite sure his two recent videos should be age restricted or even removed, those are some horrid thumbnails.

I remember hacking on this server lol, I sold shulker boxes on the auction house that looked like they were full of diamond blocks, but it was just the first 7 rows and the rest was just single blocks of dirt, so it shows up as "7 stacks of diamond blocks and 27 more slots".
