These are some seriously cool models/abilities. The Spirit Splitter model and Frenzied Vex in particular are super dope!

Jeez, I’ve always wanted to have a swarm of vexes by my side by I ain’t good with commands, so this data pack can make me have an army. Nic job for both the custom textures and the custom weapons.

That sounds fun! I'd probably condense the entire process down to like a 10 minute video to keep things short. It wouldn't be a tutorial or anything like that, but rather a story of how I code, beta test, and model the items. Is that what you were thinking? And would others be interested in seeing something like that?

Thank you! I'm a software engineer, so I was able to pick up Minecraft commands pretty quickly. You definitely don't need any academic background in coding to make datapacks. But all the skills that make you a good software engineer will help you with making datapacks. My advice for coding is if there's a project you want to do, you should just hop into it even if you barely know anything and figure things out along the way. I look at documentation all the time, so there's no shame in not knowing something. With 3d modeling, I started off by doing Legitimoose's penguin cannon tutorial in blockbench. Blockbench is super user friendly and I was able to make the models you saw in the video with zero artistic background. Recently, I learned how to use GIMP for making thumbnails, but it also helps a lot with making textures. And I hopped into KZread since I was just making datapacks for my girlfriend and I to play through together and felt like what I made was fun enough to share with people. So if you're interested in this stuff, I'd encourage you to give it a shot! I'd love to see more people in the datapack community!

i think the skeleton sword is very strong it must be the health of the skeleton it summons and the creatures should attack it too

It's a cool datapack But i think the warrior spirit staff is a bit op because i can just use a composter to get bone meal Or i will just need kill from 5 to 6 skeletons. And one more thing is the item for easter egg is water bucket

Possibly, but I feel like there's already so many great tutorials out there, especially the Penguin Cannon Blockbench Tutorial by Legitimoose. It taught me like 80% of everything I know about blockbench and its only an hour long. Someday I might make a video giving new people a roadmap to follow if they want to eventually make the types of things that I make. Your optifine issue could be a couple things. Make sure your file extensions for your textures are lowercase. So if you have image.PNG, make it image.png. Also, make sure the textures you're using are 32x32 max, this is most likely your problem. I'd also recommend developing datapacks without optifine enabled unless you're specifically using an optifine feature so you can catch these issues as soon as they happen. Good luck!

Ive been watching legitmoose too lately funny to see more people do too. Thx for your quick response and help, i shall try it out tommorow :D. Hi, George! I intend on eventually making a 3rd datapack just like this and then combining all 3 of them. Not sure when it'll come out, but be on the lookout for it (I'll do my best to make sure it's server friendly, I've been testing my datapacks on realms)

Texture test: The Spirit pack makes the apocalypse items into Spirit Splitter, the Elemental items into carrot on a sticks, blood Thunder into the scepter of infinite woe and the Sabre into a Steve Staff? The elemental pack makes the apocalypse items, spirit splitter and infernal tyranny into blood thunder, the three spirit staffs turn into the fertile earth staff and the scepter into the Sabre. The apocalypse item pack turns everything else into carrot on a stick. Working on the combat testing now

Ooh, I like that idea. I was thinking of adding some sort of mana system or something into my datapacks at some point to balance things out. So what kind of side effects were you thinking?

If we put both resurpack of spooky staff and thunder sword they will be some bug i think you need to fix

Blockbench!

I put the video in slow motion for the riddle and I found out

the spirit splitter actually has 5 attack damage and 5.6 attack speed bcs of the way minecraft attributes work, this is kinda broken in pvp so you should probabbly fix this EDIT: i didnt realise all weapons have stats, so all those weapons are broken

Thank you! And nope, this entire datapack is PVE oriented. I didn't realize how many people would want something more pvp focused, so I will consider that after I finish my Whimzee's Wizardry datapack (the datapack that has these items and many others combined into one large datapack)

I haven't tested this at all for 1.19 but I'd say there's about an 80% chance everything works. I don't recommend using this datapack in 1.19 in a world you care about due to the lack of testing for that version.

You probably don't have the texture pack installed correctly. All the items are actually a carrot on a stick, but retextured.

​@@gp2k918 Hmm, eventually I plan on merging them both anyway, so I'll work out those issues. I may do some lighter videos while I re-code a couple things. You'll notice I have Elemental magic and Spirit magic now. There's one more type of magic coming up! Once I finish that, I'll merge everything into one huge magic datapack. After I complete that, I can start looking at armor (it might be a little while though, these things take a ton of time), which I know you're excited about. Thank you for your patience :)
