It’s hard enough to live off potatoes as a main food source, but what happens if I decide to also use them to fight mobs, farm resources, and ultimately finish the game? Is it possible to rely solely on the potato in Minecraft?

You actually don’t even need to use a bucket. There’s a chance that obsidian spawns in a blacksmith and use lava to light it without flint and steel
