Welcome back! You're gonna get a lot more out of those farms, if you add trapdoors around the composters, so that they basically form a ring around it. That way, the villagers can't compost excess food (which they will) and drop more on the ground for the minecart to pick up. The Trapdoors allow them to still pathfind to the composter so they keep their profession, but they can't reach it anymore so they can't compost the excess food.

Only necessary for the wheat farm if I recall correctly. They only compost excess seeds, not food. It works like a charm for those though ^^

@@TracinyaLachance oop, you're right. The problem with the seeds is, they don't keep enough in their inventory to efficiently replant the whole area. If no spots remain unused, I guess it works without the trapdoors, as well.

I think adding the fence instead of glass puts more emphasis on how the villagers are literally trapped in there for all of eternity . And it's a new change in design that I personally really like.
