*NOTE* Putting 3 potions into a cauldron, then clicking on it with arrows gives you 64 tipped arrows! Forgot to mention this in the video!:) Best way to get tipped arrows for sure. There is a terrible bug with turtles. Turtles despawn even when hatched. And also, you cannot sleep through the night.

Yeah bedrock seems to be filled with more newer and inexperienced players than Java, and there aren’t enough famous bedrock KZreadrs that do tutorials. I should start doing tutorials because I’ve made a couple of farms myself (with the help of Minecraft wiki of course) that are better than tutorial I’ve seen or just as good.

I just made a manual turtle farm for scute. Once I got enough scutes for a helmet, I let the turtles go free. Save the turtles!

This is great silent. I've always seen xisuma make farms like this and others in your calendar, but there have never been any bedrock tutorials, until now. You are truly the illmango/nembomb of bedrock edition

The date is 26th March 2024 and I just built this on my XboxOne, as of Minecraft Bedrock 1.20.72 this still works. The only change I made was adding 2 additional hoppers to each side of the existing to hoppers facing those existing hoppers (so 4 extra in total) as some dropped seagrass wasn't dropping into the existing hoppers.

Anything to do with turtles right now is INCREDIBLY laggy for servers. Specifically baby turtles. This isn't Silent's fault at all, this guide is great and functions well! Just don't bother with this farm if you are on realms as the lag is unplayable.

I so needed this, I have been trying for so long to get two turtles in a pen, name tagged and bread so I can start collecting. Breading two turtles I find will be much easier and bringing the eggs back to my location. Thanks so much.

I don't see that happening since the grown turtles can't navigate anything the small ones can't. Maybe with pressure plates or simultaneous tripwire hook activation.

you could have an observer watching for their growth, on a delayed repeater or two to open a door. you would have a lil bit of "loss" but that means a baby turtle here or there would get to grow up in the wild lol... oor you might be able to create a second bay in the "kill chamber" that only adults could get in to and it's open to the ocean? not sure on movement mechanics of turtles tho so I can't confirm if it'll work. cheers, hope you can save some turtles =D

@@AnthraXaXis Observers only observe blocks so you can't observe the turtles directly, but you could observe a hopper picking up scutes. Is it unethical to make baby turtles pay for their freedom in scutes?

I need it to contain the turtles and then strike it with lightning to get bowl. This is a 2 in one farm

I actually just made it seven deep and made sure to put water at every layer and the baby turtles go into just like if it was the ocean, thank you so much for the tutorial :)

@@adrianpena800 if you have a piercing crossbow, you can reuse the same tipped arrows forever

@@adrianpena800 and even if you don’t have a piercing crossbow, you can get stacks and stacks of tipped arrows VERY easily. It only takes 3 potions in a cauldron to tip the entire stack of arrows so it’s not hard at all to make

A more humane way would be a trident killer with looting 3 sword and impaling 5 trident Sea grass farm

Tested: You don't need to build this farm in the ocean. Turtles will pathfins towards any 2x2x2 cube of water. If you use bubble columns, the space is still considered open water.

8:55 Finally I understand why I was loosing my turtles in my mini homemade "turtles growing greenhouse"! Or they simply despawn. I should had looked at this farm long, long ago! Turtle shell helmets are my default. More than enough protection for anything but major boss and that 10 seconds water breathing is perfect for any explorer on the go or farm builders.

Yes. Finally a scute farm THAT WORKS! Turtles are so buggy, I was wondering if I'd ever get them scutes. Weird thing: I had a farm full of eggs, laid over the period of a game week or so. One hatched. Days later, another hatched. I bred those two turtles to et more eggs. And then, almost immediately, ALL the eggs hatched, even those that were just laid! Freaky.

You can get even more tipped arrows from cauldrons, if you fill the cauldron with three potions instead of one, you get a stack of tipped arrows

Hit an interesting and unique problem with this farm. Got 20 adult turtles and went below. Baby turtles were getting pooped out the bottom, was great. Went back up top and half my turtles were gone, with only Bowls and seagrass left behind. They must've been struck by lightning. Use lightning rods or a roof, but not sure if enclosing the farm is a problem. But be aware if interested.

If one already has an enclosure for turtles, could one just add on the kill chamber connected to ocean? Or is there a limit to the path finding range of baby turtles?

I noticed scute floating in the left wall at 2:10. Might need to make the hoppers in a 3x3 grid around to get all the scute?

About the tipped arrow in bedrock, a full cauldron is three bottles and makes the whole stack of arrows. I am a bow and crossbow user and potion fiend. I wish we had potion of decay in survival. Scouts can be traded for emeralds. I farm everything that can be traded with villagers.

Fixed Pathfinding, Built in a frozen biom anyway. Needed to break the ice directly under the hole and add a peice of soul sand in order to fix pathfinding. you may need this fix in any biom with the latest update. Also used a slab roof up high for snow. You did show us the thing with the arrows. Bug: tie a boat on ice to a fence allow trader or bears to push it away. The ropes still there tied to the fence, no boat. Untie the rope it disappears.

FINNALLY

Does the guardian farm still work? Or do we need to lower the afk spot?

sure you can make turtle helmets but the arrows are the fun part. just make about 20 of them and as long as your friend lacks a sheild, you can put them wherever you want by moving them with water 😂. definitely a good idea if you need a lab rat for an experiment of some kind and can’t find a volunteer 🤣

Question: Can I put decorations and a pool for the Turtles convenience?

So I thought I heard rumors of a potion sorter tutorial. I also hoped with all the sorting tech you did earlier to get the trash can at the end of a sorter for trash or overflow. Still crossing fingers here. However I have issues with killing turtles. Much more humane to set them free to de spawn later.

Does drinking speed potion negates the slow effect of the turtle master potion?

I would love a gunpowder/creeper farm design!

I think if you put the babies in a 1x1 non solid block whith no corners when they grow they'll glitch out the containmet area and they can go free

In which update all of your Farms work the best without bugs

ATTENTION As a realm owner i can tell you be careful with turtles for some reason they lag the realm extremely bad. For days we could not figure out why the realm was lagging so bad until we finally realized it was the turtles killed them and now there has been no lag since.

Apparently babies can suffocate in snow blocks, I make many of my builds with snow as I have a factory that requires no tools so i mass produce it
