how many actual oak stairs are needed for the exterior?I ran out of stairs when building the roof of the house and you only listed 28 oak stairs? So far the house is coming along amazingly!

For anyone playing on default texture pack, replace the birch wood with a colored terra-cotta or replace the birch with oak then replace the oak with spruce and then replace the spruce with dark oak looks a lot better in my opinion due to the creator using a texture pack

@@bananabanks7911 Concrete will often look more vibrant than terracotta, so use lighter tones if you’re going for the paler cottage core theme. Otherwise concrete would absolutely work!

I just built this for my girlfriend but i swapped out cherry planks instead of birch, mangrove planks instead of spruce, and spruce planks instead of oak. For the logs of course i used cherry. It turned out amazing.

this is so funny i did the exact same change. must be great minds thinking alike

if youre unable to get the bushy leaves pack working correctly or having a hard time in general, using the flowery oak leaves, and then putting vines on top of it, will give a similar effect and it looks super cute!! you csn only put them on the sides but its still adorable

It took reinstalling Java, then Munizo's 16, then jarfix, THEN Gali's bushy leaves, THEN optifine, then shaders. (haha sounds worse than it was) but I was finally able to duplicate this beautiful build, block by block. I had a great time and it was wonderful displaying this gorgeous home and getting to virtually walk through it. It's the best house in the village now and I'm going to add more from your other tutorials. subbed and thumbs up. Thank you!

I love this house! Built it twice, once using the Mizuno texture pack and once in vanilla minecraft. I really dislike the look of birch wood in vanilla, and I personally think stone cottages are adorable, so I made some changes. I used stone bricks instead of birch wood, spruce wood instead of oak and dark oak instead of spruce. Even though the video uses oak for both the first and second floors, I decided to use spruce for the first floor and dark oak for the second. I also used wood in the place of the stone in the front garden to give a bit of contrast. The result was a darker, moodier, but still lovely house that perfectly fit into my cottagecore aesthetic! Put it into a Taiga biome and it was perfect 😭💕 I personally think both options look great (if you use the Mizuno texture pack in order to make birch palatable lol)

guys!! i found a texture pack that goes really well with this build! its called hanging baskets make sure you put it above mizuno's 16 craft so it works! it only works when you put a flower pot right under a tree or block its soo great~ i forgot to mention it doesnt need optifine!

Thank you so much! I have a hard time following tutorials because some are so unclear and don't tell me at all how many blocks wide the built is, and yours really helped! It was such a fun and pretty build. I don't have that texture pack but I made it work:) still very cute. No one get discouraged if you don't have yours looking like theirs, not everyone has that texture pack. I used default and it still came out looking very pretty. I don't have lamps in my minecraft or anything but I used torches and sometimes glow stone to help. Glow stone makes very lovely chandeliers when paired with dark oak fences. Anyway, you're very skilled with your builds. I almost got discouraged halfway through this because I couldn't quite get things right how you did, but I never gave up:) I did take a break though. Im going to check out your channel for some more builds in the future. =)

Wait I think I figured that out. On some texture packs, when you do a double slab, instead of making planks/bricks, it makes a totally different block. I bet that's just 2 stone slabs, but the texture pack does it.

It is the same texture! But it's only the Java version that changes the look of the windows.

I think it's fine but it's hard to follow if you are more of a verbal direction person. It works perfectly for me though as I prefer a more note-taking method, looking back and then translating it my way, I use these more for inspo than a tutorial.
