@@msiio i dont think so many have grown up and half of the children who play minecraft have either know this by dream or other new channel so there will be half of the population of children who play and the rest will be grown men and Teens

Don't get all the hate - Minecraft appeals to a broad spectrum of players, young to older, in creative or in hardcore - Stampy and the friends on his channel appeal to a younger generation, and he does a great job targeting his shows to his audience. There are plenty more adult oriented channels for older players, and plenty of servers to go around without having to complain about one small aspect of it all.

when does minecon open in london 2016 or 2017? Plz tell me if u know

I don't really understand why lots of people are upset over the supposed shift of the demographic ... Sure, maybe the average players used to be older 3 years ago, but ... how does that affect you? Just play the game in your way, the way you enjoy it or do that with some other game if Minecraft has lost its thing for you. I still see Mojang listen a lot to the "old-school" players when it gets to their changes to the game. In the end, as an 18-year old player who's mostly interested in the technical side of the game, I really don't feel left out, even though the majority of the players may be below the age of 10 now.

Does anyone else remember the good days of minecraft when there was just friendly people or pros and the occasional hacker or squeaker having a good time sharing creative ideas, playing sg together or just having a good time? .... what so now do we just have happy fun time servers full of kids impersonating celebrishits like stampy? I remember back when minecraft was all about creativity and having fun as a community , I know that kids doing things like this is good and all but minecraft is nothing what it used to be and has mostly lost its original ideas and what made it great :/

God mine craft is a joke now. The only people that really like to play it are you tubers or kids. I started playing in 2010, from my sister who started in 2009. That's when you showed your friends and they were confused and said the graphics sucks. Lol. Now you say mine craft and every little kid in the room looks at you and every other person rolls their eyes. And I'm not saying there aren't teens out there that play but teens are the minority. I think mine craft was ruined for me by the Xbox version. I bought it the day it came out and it was fun. Now when you say mine craft people ask if you play on Xbox, and when I say pc they seem confused. I wish it was back to the way it used to be, when you could see how many people bought the came on minecraft,net and ugh, it's just sad to see what has happened.

ThePackapunchmaster Might be time to build your own little community. I run a little server. We only have three players and the occasional guest. We've got around 180 mods and have been running the same map for about a year and a half. So far as age goes, I'm the youngest at 30. You can make a community if you put enough effort in.

I started playing back in 2010 when my friend showed me we played for fun but then BOOM some people decide to play it as a job which is a joke and then a bunch of squeaking kids come along and fuck everything up around 2013 and then Minecraft died not too far back around 2014 and is now a joke in which little 8 year olds sit for hours on end watching adults with absolutely no life playing and relying on a game as a job when they could play the game themselves- in short Minecraft was dead. Sure I was a little kid but this new breed of them are just primitive and have killed one of the best Indie Games of all time. Oh crap did I actually write that much...

Yeah, some people play games and manage to make a living out of it. So? The same applies to sports. They made a job out of something they enjoy. Good for them. I work in a factory full time and sometimes I'm a security guard for nascar when they're in town. It's just a job. I'm happy for the people who can pull off being a youtuber or streamer for a job. I find it admirable, though I don't like most of the youtubers at this minecon. You also say those adults have no life. That's a bit childish of you. You're smart enough to know better. You're entitled to your opinions, but I'm still confused about why you think minecraft died. The business end is doing well. On the technical side, it's a mixed bag. I'm still bitter about the modding api so my views are a tad skewed. The community is incredibly active. Redstone isn't as big a thing as it used to be. Command blocks have led to a lot of interesting mini games. Modding took a kick in the nuts 1.8 but it's still going strong. I don't understand what you mean by "Minecraft died not too far back around 2014." In my previous reply, I was trying to suggest you find people your age and play with them. I was too indirect. You don't HAVE to play with a bunch of squeekers. You're not so weak that a couple of 8 year old can force you to do as they wish. Show that you're more mature than them. Do your own thing. Show them how few fucks you give about their hissy fits. Start your own community with blackjack & hookers.

Oh god, I couldn't even make it through the first few minutes without cringing. What has Minecraft come to? I play Minecraft all the time, I enjoy it, but I'm so close to quitting because of the five year old fuck faces that have turned Minecraft into a bag of shit. Multiplayer servers? Oh! You can't say 'Hacks' because it may offend the little kids who get butthurt over everything! And not to mention when you kill someone in the hunger games mini game, they'll scream 'HAX' in the chat repeatedly. God damn, Minecraft.
