Mindset - There's Beauty in Not Knowing The Future

You know those times when you think to yourself...."I just wish I knew the future (how it's going to play out)...."? Well, I was having one of those thoughts the other day, then I realized there was beauty in not knowing what was ahead.
These are some of my "Off-the-Cuff" Thoughts... :)
Because I didn't know a what was ahead, I was able to focus and channel my entire body and mind at the "PRESENT" task at hand which resulted in a more positive result than a similar situation the other day when I knew what I had ahead of me.
When I went up Wolf Creek Pass the other day, it was one of the hardest days that I've had on the trek to date. That said, I'd taken quite a bit of time and researched the path ahead. Because of my "logical" research, I had already programmed my brain to know the overall size of the whole challenge, rather than living in the moment and meeting the task "head on" as I did when I didn't know what to expect.
There's subtle differences between these types of thinking. I believe, making simple shifts in our mindset and living in the moment will help us net a greater set of accomplishments because of the "unknown" part of the challenge.
What do you think?
Love You All!

I agree with you 100% with my heart; but as one going through a trial right now, it is difficult to agree with my mind. You are right, though...I just need to have faith that God will get me through, and I need to find peace in that. Thanks, brother!

+Survivalkraft - This is what God asks of us....just to "let go" and have "faith" and "trust" in Him. I totally understand this challenge and the Trek has helped me to get clear on many of these issues in my own life. Answers come so much easier....now that I don't have my own mental agenda. :) Praying for you. Let me know if I can do anything to help!

Thank you. I understand what you mean. I just have to let God do as he wishes and pray that he gives me joy and peace. I'm praying for you as well, and if there is anything I can do to help you on your trek, just let me know! Blessings!

One of the best ways to "jumpstart" this process (and you probably already know this)....is to get away in nature, and truly listen and connect with God. I know we have him every day at every second, but sometimes we can benefit from shutting off the noise of our artificially created culture and just being present to listen from Him. :) Thank YOU for the prayers brother! I need them very much. :-D

I'm a runner and I can relate to running hills. In order to surrender to the mindset of “not knowing” I must deviate from their traditional indoctrination: “to know and tell." Coming from a place of purely not knowing is gratifying.
