I tried this tutorial and realised that all cords cannot be of the same length. The ones on the either side should be longer than those in the centre as they need to be braided more. If you have all cords of the same length, then the pos will be smaller in size, also you will be wasting un necessary lengths

If I wanted to make a bigger one would I need to make the length of cord longer??

How would i figure out how much cord I would need to make this gorgeous project big enough for a cat? My cat would love this to nap in. Other cat hammocks I see are great but I know they would just LOVE to have this to nap and hide out in

My wrap knots sometimes have come undone and yet I do them very tight (tighter than you have done on this tutorial) so I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any ideas? (most are ok, but one has come undone)

I wonder if i can make these for my hummingbirds to build their nest in. The wind storms here really wreck havoc on their tiny nests.

As long as you add evenly either side, you can make it as big as you’d like!

I have 3mm cord. Is there a way to make the basket bigger? Do I just need to use more strings with a larger initial circle? But I’m not sure how to scale it up

It’s still quite small. About 5cm wide and 8cm tallxx

Her tutorial is vague. She used 29 cords but told us 23 cords. Also, she talked in such a way, it seemed that something was stuck in her throat. Did not understand her. So I followed another channel and was able to make it easily. But I appreciate your effort. Thank you

Kathy Latham using the 5mm braided cord it’s approx 25cm plus the tassels (you can trim to suit) the 3mm cord is about 15cms plus tassels. Hope that helps x

I only see 29 looped threads in the video, so 30 looped threads would be more correct (twenty-nine, strange because for a macrame flat knot you need two looped so four "half" threads and no odd number?) A whole flower pot can never fit into this Macrame Plant Hanger Plant Pod, in any case a thimble will fit into the Macrame Plant Hanger Pod, maybe a measly flower pot will fit in with great effort, I have a Macrame Plant Hanger Plant Pod in my manual work 80 (eighty) threads each 3.5 m (three point five meters) looped onto the cord.

Com o devido respeito, muito demorado, indeciso....melhor ser mais objetiva e um pouco mais rapida, nao é necessario TAMANHA LENTIDAO. NAO GOSTEI.

Can I ask why you don’t answer the questions about there being 29 cords not the 23 you state in the video. You don’t seem to have problems answering where to buy the cord! This is the worst tutorial I’ve watched def not a thumbs up! Also I don’t know if you adjusted your cord measurements to account for the 5mm cord or not? Measurements are way off and anyone making this will need to double the length she gives or you will run out of cord half way through. I wasted almost a full bundle of Bobbiny 5mm because the measurements are way off! So frustrating and lesson learned.
