British acting at its very best, subtle, yet so sharp.Script writing top notch. Terry and Arthur actually loved each other in the Father/son dynamic IMO. Years later George Cole said in interview that he regularly watched the show when it was running, the interviewer said that that was quite unusual, Georges reply "It was the only way to see if my performance was good and to constantly improve" a true professional. He used to practise the dialogue on tape in the car on the way to the studio. The added bonus in hindsight an insight into England through the 80s/early 90s

Growing up in Oz we also loved this show , lots of young Aussies trying to talk like Arfur & Tel & always been corrected by Expats, we already knew the English made the best movies & telly but this ‘Minder’ was on a whole different level ..Arfur the most likeable character ever written for & it’s good to see that George & Dennis liked him too.

I watch minder almost every day still.

This is the most nostalgic thing ever for me. Im actually re-watching every minder episode made. Almost brings a tear to my eye.
I nearly cry when I hear the theme music to Minder. My Dad just loved the Show and his favourite character was Dave. Great times in the late 70s early eighties. We would spend ages talking about each episode as soon as it aired on a Monday night here in Oz.

Hard to believe that Minder was produced by Verity Lambert who also produced Eldorado (under the guise of Cinema Verity) for the BBC. In the 1970's & 1980's Euston Films always held high production values with some of the most talented production crews and screenplay writers on UK television. The Sweeney & Minder are without doubt 2 of the best British tv series ever made.
