People should know this show was remade in many other countries "Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and Singapore". This show is hilarious and brings people together.

There is no such thing. What he is using is called received pronounciation to make it clearer for his students to understand. It's only used by teachers (the good ones that is), the posh and richly educated and BBC people. Everyone else uses accents. My accent is the shame as Sean Bean's (we are both from Sheffield).

NeelyFanForever Actually this is his real accent. There’s plenty of people who speak very clear and pronounced like this. It sounds like South Eastern English. If you listen to Tom Hardy’s real accent it’s very similar but Britain has a huge variation of accents so there is no such thing as a British accent or even an English accent.

I remember this from years ago. Its a pun at our different cultures. Yes they are stereo types but humour is based on that and its non offensive laughs.

They actually played on that in another manner when the inspector and, later, his wife show up. It's clever because it turns the negative stereotype a lot of ppl had on its head and made it funny. Great acting too despite both being minor characters.
