I've watched a lot of videos on builds over the couple years I've been playing. This is the first one of yours that I watched and I learned a lot from it. The others I've watched assume that I know how a skill, boon etc works, or when to use it, so they don't bother explaining it. You gave great detail and you are pleasant to listen to. Loved the fashion show. You have a new follower.

Easily the greatest intro segments of any MMO channel - my respects :D Added to that how well you describe builds and the 'why's' behind them and it becomes a mystery how come your channel has not grown more than it has!

As someone who has never played engi and made one specifically for the mechanist I’m glad you explained everything the way you did. Really helps me put it together in my own head

Gotta love that opening

I am soo happy to see this build. I saw this pop up and I literally stopped working, turned on my computer and logged in just to build this up and test it. So far already liking it. Pretty much made engineer with Mechanist in mind as the only class i wanted to play lol. Thank you again MoM, your brilliant and noob friendly guides are very much so appreciated.

Mechanist is very nice. This build does what you need with breathing space. I was able to get my mech into situations where I was trying to get killed and she was able to recover very nicely. I could benefit from barrier, my mech was a strong ally, skills were recharging fast enough to give me everything I needed more often. That's selling me in a big way on Mechanist.

From the looks of the golem and some other spots, the arcdps number is around 5200 dps, is this correct? This is what I am doing and I have zerker stats not the celestial but should be close enough

Very fun video, I'm an engi main and have been for 9 years, but I love support, so the option to make a support-spec'd engi makes me happy. Did you try ritualist gear? Wouldn't that give you more boon duration, sacrificing some power damage (but maybe giving you enough condi damage to make it up for it?)

In theory you are correct. I am however unable to test the new stats as the only legendary armor I have is medium and they have cut off access to the new stats in exotic and ascended stat collected. I will be expressing my displeasure on this soon.

Mechanist has (predictably) become my favourite spec in the game but was pretty sure that was going to be the case. I'm 100% sure it's going to get nerfed unfortunately (a fun paraphrased quote from someone on the forums is that your mech is basically a raid boss) but for now it's very fun and can be played so many ways. A fun toy to play with (personally have it on my shield but may swap out my bursting sigil on the pistol) is an absorption sigil. Many mobs have boons nowdays and Mechanists kit A) has boon share with the Mech and B) a ton of stuns so it procs all the time. My main build gear wise is actually just YOUR Celestial Holosmith's and it works like a dream. I'm running 5 signets and pure condi instead of Alacrity though and it's just stupid (Mechanist 1,1,3). The build genuinely feels Celestial Renegade pre nerf strong, it's weird. Really love this build, will give it a test.

Will it get nerfed... probably. The absorbtion Sigil is a bit brain play... niice one. If you've been Playing my Cele Holosmith build, try it with Baelfire Runes :)

@@MindOverMeta will check it out for sure! Gave this one a spin (albeit with the Berserker runes instead of renegade) Last night and it was super strong as well! Losing J-drive stung a little bit but otherwise performed like a dream. Went to facetank the champion arrowhead HP to teat robustness and I think I only ended up needing to press my heal skill once. Very very nice. (Did get looked at like i was a complete noob for standing around taking all the shots but hey haha)

you should try the baltazar runes, you will have insane burning

If I'm using mace/shield, should i keep firearms or switch to something else? I just bought the expansion and use 80 boost on my engineer 😂

sorry for the late reply... I tes6ted this today and it was cozy... not sure it was good ernough to justify the cost of the runes but it worked well and if y7ou have leg runes its a fun thing to do

I've played a fair bit of Mechanist using pistol pistol, it's very very strong. That being said I wouldn't use it on this version of the build. Mace's built in barrier is too valuable on the Alacrity variant. Where pistol pistol is good is on a pure offence condi Mechanist. Try 1,1,3 running signets. You can still use Celestial gear, Viper also works very well and Ritualist should aswell.

Hi Tony, sorry saw your question to me but can't find it now so just replying here, no trait or anything needed for the mace to get barrier, it does it naturally on the third hit of its auto attack chain. Tony amount but its enough to proc alacrity every few seconds.

it's still super strong, durable and a jack of all trades. I still love it. But if you ask around most people find power mechanist easier due to the easier gameplay.
