All the Italian female singers can’t sing her songs without knowing that she’s inarrivabile. A “recent “ song ( in the 90s) that I love very much is Oggi sono io. The video shows that she did perfectly in the first take. Almost 80 years old but still amazing.

Nel Mondo è pieno di grandissime voce femminili uniche e con estensioni da paura. Definire mina tra le prime 5 senza nemmeno conoscere TUTTE le cantanti del mondo, sa tanto di affermazione del trallallero. Non è questione di slaire su u piedistallo, ma smettetela di scrivere ca**ate e di rendervi ridicoli e provinciali.

"Again, again, again" is a great song by Mina, written by Cristiano Malgioglio in 1978. At the time, it caused a scandal for its explicit reference to a woman's independent and liberated sexual and sensual life, but it was in tune with the times: in Italy in 1978, the law on abortion was approved and parental authority, which limited women's rights, was abolished. Mina's voice is unique, and in her songs, there was rebellious Italy projected into a poetic future. Italians and English they dont work in the same way, so the word "Ancora" depending on the contest, can be translate; Again, Still, Yet and More. In the same way Again in Italians can be translate: Ancora, Nuovamente, di nuovo, un'altra volta etc. The word Still; Resta, Rimane, Ancora, Perdura, Persiste. The word Yet; Già, di già, Ciononostante, Ancora, Eppure, Finora. And last the word More; Ancora, più. di più, Ulteriore, Altro. And so on. This is way IA translactions sucks. I think the best translaction for the title (But not for the full lirics) can be; More, more and more.

About the video: the title is "Again again". They decided it was too "sensual" for italian TV. "Only face! Only face!" Wrong decision... LOL They said she screamed. They said she sang too loud. They said she was not right (like who? In the 60s/70s she had only two female competitors, and they sang loud too, I'm afraid). They were wrong! Time is merciless...

wrong. It was mina that wanted to show the face alone because she was already fat. What rai TV did is to not allow the close up with her face miming an orgasm and create several little images on the screen to create confusion

The melody actually is I think, it was pretty common in the 70s and 80s to take Italian (and probably many others) music and put English lyrics over it. Laura Brannigan's Gloria was originally an Italian song. I just watched a video listing 4 or 5 Italian songs that have English versions we didn't know were originally Italian. And to be fair, it also happens a lot with American songs with Italian lyrics.
