Great Demo. Another positive you didn't mention is the amount of effort involved. If you have to do this more than just a little bit, using the staple gun isn't going to wear you down as much and generally is a better solution. I wouldn't say you strike a hammer like a girl. You just are choking up on the grip and losing some of the force you could get with each swing. that might come from having to swing the hammer inside a small opening. Also that hammer looks a little light for your strength. A bigger hammer would better use the energy you have in your hands and drive those nails with less swings.

I only use this for side jobs, but there are more pros....tight spaces, reaching on a ladder, one handed operation. I used to use a spring actuated stapler and this blows it away. Now they need to invent something that installs 1 and 2 hole straps in one motion lol.

Looks like a great tool. The part about glove wearing is good. I’m in a warm climate luckily.

Dang it, I need to buy this, even though I don't need it for anything.

Also a lot better on the joints than a hammer.

100% worth it. Single best investment I've made since going out on my own. Made my money back in time saved in probably 2 houses. Making me money since. Only annoying thing is sometimes the staples won't shoot out and will jam at the top and you have to pry them out.

I already have a cable stapler. He only needs 1 large double double in the morning then goes all day.

Take a look at DeWalt cable stapler. I've seen some reviews where the DeWalt self regulates the impact to avoid pinching the wire. Last I've looked, the Milwaukee was either comparable or less. Nice pitch Karly and keep warm.

Nah the DeWalt staple is terrible it Staples really loose the Milwaukee regulates based of how hard you press down on it the Milwaukee is wayyyyy better than the DeWalt

We can tell that Karly doesn't spent much time hammering in cable staples. LOL This is certainly a tool that will pay for itself in the time saved vs hand hammering.

$268 on sale at KMS tools right now for jsut the tool. Looks pretty slick.

How are they compared to the all-metal S1 S2 S3 in price? I've never used the plastic ones. Love the videos BTW.

I’ve got the Dewalt version. I think they work identically but the Milwaukee is a little smaller for tighter spaces.

this is a good starting point. I'd love to know about battery life, and extra battery cost (since you might need 1 on a charger and one in the tool for full days of work). We KNOW you are a milwaulkee fan (and I am as well but) I'd also like to know how it compares to other cable staplers out there. How does it do when wiring doorbells (low voltage and super small) wiring? is there (like with many commercial nailers) an adjustment for how hard it strikes? do any other brands have that?

A 2.0 will last about 2 boxes of staples. 600 staples per box.

It's really good with battery life I've had it last me 3 days of heavy stapling one problem with it is that's it's pretty big hard to staple in tight spaces and sometimes if the wood is super sturdy you'll have to hammer the staple in a bit

I want one but my company buys all our stapes, i doubt they’d want to add these in 😢

These are perfect for production work. The tricky part is when you double stack and the bottom wire is not aligned and can get nicked.

I'm a low voltage tech and I picked one of these up for doing ethernet and it has wrecked the cable run. To get around this we made up some spacers out of some round stock that you hold next to the cable and staple over it. Basically looks like a thick fire extinguisher pin. To bad there isn't a pressure adjustment

When you make a estimate, you have to think in therme of cost. If you can take less time, you can be cheaper then the other electrician and you can do more job.

If I were bidding on a project with a fixed cost, the costs would be similar, but I would theoretically have time to do more projects. That being said, a tool can be billed at an hourly or daily rate, as customers understand a single Ditch Witch operator or an auger will complete more work per hour than a guy with a shovel or post hole digger.

The fact that Americans still staple cables inside walls is just amazing, we run plastic conduit inside walls so rewiring in the future or if it gets cut just makes life so much easier.

Review a hammer

I can't hardly walk in to a store and not buy a tool. My wife say's " You have enough tool's"! I say I can never have to many tool's... Because there is always a tool I don't have. Lol

You hammer like a girl because you are but you still hammer better than some men I know, great to see you choosing the trades for a living we need more females!

Look up in the electrical code and you may be surprised to know that really the staple is to hold the wire in place in the wall so that other materials in construction does not pinch a wire that is dangling. Most of during lateral runs it hold it up from falling down into area where it can get damaged by other trades. It is not really there to hold the wire so tightly that it can not move. Wire like all things will expand and contract when hot or cold. Yeah that is in the physic books on coefficient of expansion. So if there is no slack or allowance for movement the wire will bulge and flex. Remember that. so not all staples have to be tight. They just there to hold the wire in the run zone where it is safe from Nails and screws, fasteners and getting pinched. This why Drywall nails are no longer than 1.5 inches. one inch penetration. cable is in middle of 2 by 4 which is really 3 inches. Half Inch drywall with one inch penetration on one side and one inch on the other leaves the center zone of area where pipes and wire no more than 1 Inch hold is used to make the run. should the wire or pipe extend beyond that safe zone then a steel plate protector is needed. It's in the CODE books of building codes and in the electrical code. The staples are there to keep the wire in the safe zone area that is all and it does not have to be tight, just well fastened.
