Finally, a brushless upgrade to my old M12 rotary tool! HOWEVER, i think a really neat addition that would have made this iteration even more appealing to hobbyists as well as pros would have been the inclusion of a hanging loop at the rear of the tool. Makes the rotary tool much easier to use when you have a flex shaft attached; Dremel has been doing that for a long time, why hasn't Milwaukee followed along in that regard?

Sure hope Milwaukee will start making bits and accessories for rotary tools.

I currently have the brushed rotary tool. I personally don’t like the push button to increase or decrease speed on this one. I do like the quick exchange but I’m good lol. Hands down one of the most used tools in my bag.

Def getting one of these. I wish dewalt would make one as most of my stuff is black and yellow. But I’ve got a lot of Milwaukee too.

My biggest concern is, does it have the standard nosecap threads used to attach Dremel accessories such as the flex shaft or is that quick change cap what we get instead? If it doesn't have the standard thread that's a deal breaker for me, I could care less about quick change, I'll use a quick change chuck.

Should I wait for this or get the current fuel straight die grinder with attachment?

Will it still be compatible with Dremel accessories as the previous model was (mostly thinking about the flex shaft)?

It has pretty standard mounting so I guess it should work with standard adapter.

Sure hope this one can get a full cut before it shuts down from overheating like the original. Im a Milwaukee guy through and through but the original rotary tool is a complete joke. I had dremels then bought the Milwaukee since I already own everything else Milwaukee and at first thought I got a bunk one so I tried again and same thing it'll barely make a minute of run time under load before all the battery lights start blinking and the tool. Shuts off and can't use for at least 5 mins. They've been sitting on the shelf since. Went back to Dremel now they want to charge everyone who has bought the crappy one 200.00 dollars for what they should of already got. Should issue a credit if you return the garbage one they put on the market to begin with......

Which model Dremel though, they've had a lot of models over the years and they weren't all winners either. I'm not happy with my Dremel, it rattles a lot. I think mine is a 4000 model.
