Milwaukee Heavy-Duty 2nd Gen 4v Max Li-Ion Cordless Screw Driver Review & Teardown

This the the improved second generation screwdriver that Milwaukee has been making for decades, it is built pretty well with a lot of overload protection but for it's size and weight it could be more powerful.

At the end with all the parts scattered about it looked like something I tried to repair.

Cool teardown....always wondered what was in them.... The version, I owned burnt out on me. I could not say it was my best friend of a tool.

I used the Hitachi/Metabo version for at least 20 years fixing copy machines, and it was great. When you have to do 20+ screws it saves so much time. I have a gen3 Milwaukee now, but it is slower and not as much torque, in my opinion. One thing that is a must for me is easy forward/reverse control. It is a pain if you are using it all day, and you have to keep pushing a drill style button to reverse the trigger. Great video! (I bet he had no intention of reassembly, LOL)

I have the older craftsman 4v that has most of the features of this one, except for the replaceable battery. Plus it's a 2 speed, driver and drill.

No wonder it costs so much, with all those ball bearings, pins, gears, etc.
