Milwaukee Gen 4 vs DeWalt 860 vs Flex Tools Impact Driver
Ойын-сауық
Join us in the most comprehensive tool testing event of the year as we put the industry’s leading impact drivers to the test! In this raw footage review, witness the power struggle between Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Flex Tools. Our no-holds-barred approach to tool testing ensures you get the unfiltered truth about each impact driver’s performance.
Milwaukee 2953 - Known for its robust build and reliable performance, Milwaukee’s contender shows why it’s a favorite among professionals. Watch as it drives screws with precision and power, a testament to Milwaukee’s commitment to quality.
DeWalt DCF860 - The newest addition to the DeWalt family, the DCF860, enters the fray with something to prove. Despite its inconsistent runs, it often outpaces the competition, making it the fastest impact driver in our tests. However, is speed everything? We dive deep into whether DeWalt’s latest innovation stands up to real-world demands.
Flex Quick Eject - Flex Tools brings its A-game with the Quick Eject impact driver. Its unique features and ergonomic design challenge the status quo, offering a fresh perspective on what an impact driver can be.
Our rigorous tool testing includes driving Phillips head number 2 screws, CSV construction screws, Timberlok screws, Spax, and more. We push these tools to their limits to give you a clear picture of what they can handle on the job site.
While the DeWalt DCF860 showcased impressive speed, making it the best DeWalt impact driver yet, our review reveals why we hesitate to give it our full endorsement. Discover the strengths and weaknesses of each tool and decide which impact driver deserves a spot in your toolbox.

I'm a huge advocate for the hydraulic impact drivers. They are so buttery smooth!!! My favorite thing about impact drivers is feeling like I'm in control without any force on my body. The Milwaukee Surge is my daily driver

You’re definitely the only channel I’ve seen that shows the battery of each tool, shows the speed of each tool, what you’re drilling into, the type of screw and the specs of the tool. It really shows a level of transparency that you just don’t see in the other channels. Keep up the great work sir, your channel is definitely underrated.

Great test thank you. Too powerful, fast and big for my needs. Really interesting to hear about the effects of using it. If you drive big fasteners I guess it has it uses but as you’ve told us use a drill and save yourself from being deafened and shaken using a monster impact driver.
1:06 pretty close either way, but we said 3840 RPM simply because that's what it measures at. The Flex is 4,450 IPM

The stuff you have been saying about it being hard to keep on a screw came to fruition in watching Torque Test Channel. Where the impact machanism hits the planetaries and causes that.
@ToolswithSoAlz

I believe I said exactly that when I was testing it
So for light to medium duty fasteners it comes down to which tool is more comfortable to use (which the dewalt loses) cause they are all about the same
@DiligentDave1966

For standard fasteners, you can literally just flip a coin because there are plenty of impact drivers to choose from.

Yeah I agree, and for the DIY’er/ homeowner that isn’t making money off their tools, the speed isn’t as important. Obviously you don’t want your tool taking forever to do a simple task, but a few seconds difference won’t matter if you’re not a professional. Pick one you like, they’re all great, except the overpriced Makita.
@DiligentDave1966

@@jjb0894 The older Dewalt impact drivers are really comfortable to use. The DCF787 has been my go to since I got it, but it’s pretty slow compared with the newer models. Metabo HPT has really good ergonomics, and I also like the 4 mode Ridgid.

@ToolswithSoAlz

Of all of these the Milwaukee would be my favorite, followed by the Flex. I don't like putting these bug batteries on impact drivers and that's a lot of the weight
I was really exited to buy a gen 4 Milwaukee but then I saw a few videos and a read a bit about some problems they can get and now I’m not sure about it. What would you say about that and have you had any issues, I know torque test channel has bought like 6
@ToolswithSoAlz

The problems people have had with the Gen 4 is because they're using it for things they shouldn't. If you use it properly, then you'll never have an issue

@ToolswithSoAlz I completely understand that and is why I said it isnt practical. More interesting and if they made an 861 that was reverse of the 860 we could see if the 860 was smoother and more powerful.

Flex is the Best / and winner! 💪
i would like to make a note that you are using the milwuakee fuel m18 wrong, it is supposed to be with a High output 3ah or 6ah hour battery because it gets 25% more power from it, otherwise using a 5ah attery is just like using a regular milwaukee m18 impact driver

Alright I’m only 52 seconds in and I’m smelling a rat… I hope I’m wrong but please don’t rig the test against DeWALT. The Flex has the stack lithium battery, Milwaukee is using the red lithium battery but I don’t see a power stack battery on the DeWALT. If this is a fair comparison and has any integrity I hope you put a power stack on the DeWALT. If you don’t we’ll all know it’s rigged
