Watching this at 1:30 in the morning feeding my 6 week old daughter. When you started talking about how breeding works I nearly woke my 2 year old up with my laughing

Bear and Millie are going to be maternity wives! 🥺 (I already knew but now we get to know who the daddies are)

Cremello, Perlino, and smoky cream are all double cream dilutes, and you can’t visually tell the difference between them. Cremello is a red base with 2 cream genes. Perlino is a bay base with 2 cream genes. Smoky cream is a black base with 2 cream genes. Without knowing Milly and Ice’s specific color genetics they could have a palomino, buckskin, or smoky black(visually the same as black). The palomino option is eliminated if either horse is homozygous dominant extension(EE). The smoky black option is eliminated if either horse is homozygous dominant agouti(AA).

I can’t believe it. A mare here (the one inside with the white foal) is my old horse. she’s had a hell of a life and we had no contact after her going back. I’m in tears to know that she’s safe and well, we always said she’d love life as a mum 😭😭😭

My mother told me that Mummy & Daddy have a magic blanket & they put it on the bed.. Then several months later a baby appears!!! I too cringe!! I made her promise to never mention anything so ridiculous to my children 😆 x

This was filmed like last week or so? Maybe longer ago and its not untill like next week that they are scanning to see if she is in foal. I think. So i dont think they know yet.

The cremello gean is clearly strong in that stallion -- I guess that's what Hobbit was referencing in the double-dilution. He is gorgeous and his foals are amazing. Can't wait to see Millie's baby when it comes. Very fun video.

I'm so excited for you guys!! My first and only horse I bought as a weanling and I can't imagine getting a grown horse at this point. Foals are so much fun!! My boy is 8 this year and we went on our second ever trail ride the other day and he was amazing while I was hyperventilating lol I must say that watching you two try to explain the process is highly entertaining and I am eager to watch the journey, although I learned with Bear's stud video that I shouldn't watch them while laying in bed. I almost died trying not to laugh out loud and wake my husband 😂❤

Perlino is different to cremello you can see with the naked eye. Cremello is chestnut with two cream genes and perlino is bay with two cream genes. Perlino has darker mane and tail and points. I bred a perlino filly from a buckskin mare. She had a mink colour mane and tail with platinum frosting on the mane, bronze legs, blue eyes, cream coat. As you would say Megan, chefs kiss lol.

Thank you for taking us along! In regards to coat colours. With this cremello stallion you certainly could get a buckskin, depending on Millie's red factor palomino might be an option and depending on the stallion's agouti status smokey black might be an option.

Cremello is a chestnut base, perlino is a bay base, and for those that don't know, a smokey cream, is a black base. All double dilute, and a smokey black is a single dilute black. But, you can see a difference between cremello and perlino. Because of the agouti gene, which pushes the black hairs to the extremities, which makes a bay. A perlino will have distinctly darker points, like the bay. A cremello, shouldn't have any dark points, unless it has a smokey factor, but the smokey factor can create a slightly darker patch or patches anywhere on the body of any colour. But I believe the eyes are also slightly different between all three double dilutes. Pale blue in cremello, slightly greenish blue in perlino, and a tawny type colour in the smokey cream. As the coat becomes darker so do the eyes.

Thank you :-) I believe that Ice is actually cremello, think we said perlino in the vlog, I was feeling rather stressed driving in the heavy rain so not concentrating. Not sure that it will make any difference to the colour possibilities or not? xx

They were a band in the late 80s that won a Grammy (Girl You Know It’s True) but had to return it when it came out that it wasn’t them singing on the album.
