Millions remain without power in Houston after Hurricane Beryl

More than 2 million remain without power in the Houston area after Hurricane Beryl swept through. The storm is now blamed on the deaths of at least 10 people. As floodwaters receded in the Houston area, the remnants of the storm caused severe weather in the Midwest. NBC News' Priscilla Thompson reports.

Well if you had followed the hurricane, they only knew about 1 or maybe 2 days ahead of time for was to be a category 1 Category 1 hurricanes normally don’t do that much wind damage. I’ve experienced a catagory 2and 3, and once it hits inland, normally its strength diminishes as it moves in but this one just came with a sudden surge from its north side arm and those winds slammed more inland. It surprised even me. Hurricanes can be unpredictable at times.

I’m really disappointed because in HOUSTON we had 3 storms within 5 years…this one..the one last year we had with no power for week and half. Then freeze over storm no power for 3 weeks half and had allot people moving into hotels and motels because of the cold weather when Houston or Texas mostly a harm to hot state..

Yes, FEMA may help but what you don't know as I didn't after the Tornado in May, is Texas is the only state in our entire country that wants to control absolute control of what FEMA gives individuals!! They do not want us dealing with FEMA directly, FEMA told me that last week, a specialist in fact!! I was approved for everything including the 750 emergency money, Texas just approved it June 27!! I called the Texas 800 # finally getting thru after 2 months of busy signals, the lady was absolutely rude after an hour of holding!!! What a joke!! FEMA is held up helping bc TEXAS wants CONTROL of everything we get as residents!! Absolutely insane!!! @@uselesscause3178
