Easy. He claims 3,000$ lost. That's the max amount he can get credit for. He's not paying taxes on any hand Pay because it goes right back in. Your losses can carry over lifetime if you keep accurate records. Raja hit the million, but after years of losses, if he did it right he probably don't owe the government anything.
