    Nobody is financially capable of being an adult anymore. I work as an electrical engineer, and it will take me 3 times longer to buy and pay off a house as my parents when neither of my parents want to college or have serious professional careers.

    @@justme4037 The main problem for non-native speakers is the accent. It's definitely not the speed of his speech. He really does not speak fast at all, that's just objectively not the case - quite the opposite, actually. I can say this with confidence because I'm also German, but I've listened to a lot of spoken English in different accents, and I have zero problems understanding him. Also, I don't know which German word you were trying to convey, but I'm pretty sure you didn't mean to use "gibberish" here.

    I was born in 85. Dad was 1950 mom was 1960. I got the "you're an idiot do better moron" parenting treatment. Now my parents wonder why I never tried to apply myself and have struggled financially my entire adult life. I don't blame them for my choices, only that their parenting failure informed how I made choices. I was raised more like a genX than anything else.

    These are great. 😄 As an old school Gen X Mom, my '97 & '00 kids got a very unique upbringing w/input from the Greatest Gen & Baby Boomers while limiting the social trends of the time. Able to hold convos w/adults since they could talk, spent half the day outside, recite cartoon monologues, prefer quiet reflection to social media, & work w/their hands & to pay their rent. ❤ Are there anymore of you out there..?
