    Unfortunately you get people that complain about everything. Some people don't want music at all, some want it but very low so it doesn't interfere with my audio, some people don't like the music selection I pick... so normally I don't use any or use it sparingly. Thanks for watching and the kind feedback!

    @@Milkywaymike wondering because I bought that, lol. Would like to do a shot like this. I have yet to use the lumitop for a Milky way shot... I absolutely love to hang it from my tripod inside my wildlife blind. Hah! Great flashlight.

    Yeah, for sure you can do that as well.. It's an extra step if you want, but you really don't need to since the Selfie Picture covered up the tripod and light that was in the panorama pic. The tripod I was using the healing brush on was actually in the selfie photo, not the panorama photo.

    Hey Mike, always great content as usual. I know that you live fairly close to me. I was just up in the Catskills shooting the MW in an extremely dark sky area. The sky was black. No matter what I do in post I can just not get that contrasty look with the bright highlights weaving in with the dark shadow areas like I see in your images and everyone elses. Is it just not possible to get great MW shots here on the east coast.?? I feel as if all of the great images are taken out west.

    James Mason the Milky Way in the Catskills is pretty good but it definitely gets some light pollution that will diminish the view a little. It also depends on your settings that you are shooting with as well. To gather in more light you should shoot around 4000 - 8000 iso with a fast lens like a 1.8 or 2.8.... shutter 10-15 seconds depending on how wide the lens is. If you don’t have a 1.4, 1.8 or 2.8 lens then consider increasing your iso even higher

    Great Content as usual. Are you using the litra light for light source. I was always wondering, because there are a lot of different techniques for that. Couldn’t decide so far

    Burak Esenbey I’m using the Lumitop flashlight linked in the description below under my EDC section. The little flashlight comes with a white dome which helps diffuse the light as well as have low, medium and high settings

    What electric tripod is the best for the night timelapses? I want to be able to do them but I have no idea which one is the best

  • @Milkywaymike

    @Milkywaymike

    I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "electric tripod".... I'm assuming you mean a product that pan and tilts. These devices typically go on top of any tripod, for example you have the SYRP Mini (2 are needed if you want both pan and tilt ability). SYRP Genie 2, Edelkrone, Dynamic Perceptions, iFootage Shark Mini, Headone... and much more. I use an Older SYRP Genie which just doe panning (no tilting). They all have their pro's and con's so I would suggest looking at all the videos on these products to see which one would work for your needs. All should have no problem doing night time lapses, but all have different sizes, weights, costs and features that you'll need to check out before buying. Good Luck!
