Great video, Aaron! Always able to learn something from your channel. Brought back memories of living on a dairy farm. We started small with a small machine like what you have, but we had to wash each teat. Yes cows kick when they're done too and it hurts! We then built up to a large milker that went into a large tank in another room. Still had to wash each teat. Love you guys! 💜💜

That was interesting. Always great to learn something new. One thought ran thru my mind tho. Have you ever forgot to shut off the valve before putting the ends back in the sanitizer bucket between goats? Just curious.

Yes... once. if you do that, it's all ruined... dump it in the woods 😞

Does it have uses other than for milking cows

When using the machine with the sanitizer you don’t need to wash the goats teets?

Thanks for the video. Can you tell me, if you only had 2 milk goats, is it worth machine milking with all the setup and sterilization time? It seems like it would be faster hand-milking if I only had 2 milk goats. Best regards.

No... we went to the machine at 8... with that said, it is easier on your body so I can see myself in my 60s (currently 44) using a machine with 2.

Do you have a sanitizer in your milk then?

Do you mind sharing what machine this is? We have 8 goats kidding this spring and might be interested in getting a machine.. then my mom and aunt could help with milking if need.

Currently we are getting about 4 gallons a day from 4 full milkers and 2 half milkers. The half have babies with them as well

Vacuum is only measured in inches of mercury.

The units of measurement can be seen in the center of the gauge towards the bottom underneath the needle. This gauge is reading in hg or inches of mercury.
