Milk Bath Nail Design in Gel Polish?
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Heya Duck in today's video we are going to be doing milk bath nails except for this time we are going be using gel polish! Let us get cracking!
I'll start by giving this a thin layer of base coat and then ill cure that.
While that’s curing ill pick out some flowers from this pack that I want to use for this design.
Now ill use Quartz for my background this is a milky white with some white shards and mylar in it and ill do two coats of this.
While that’s in the lamp ill cut up these flowers into the kind of pieces I want to use.
Then I can go on with the Gel Polish Milky nice and thin.
Then ill press the dried flowers into the sticky layer of the Milky with all the flowers in place ill give this a full cure.
Now I can take my strengthify in Casper and ill start by giving a thin layer of the entire nail making sure you catch all of the edges of the flowers then while that layer is still wet we will build some structure then ill turn the nail over and use the lily liner brush to fill in any areas that have no gel then I can put that into the lamp on the 99-second setting
Then we want one more thin layer of Casper and cure that then we can wipe it over with the clean-up solution
Then I can give this a file using a 240 Grit file
Then ill give this another clean-over before placing some crystals onto this nail and to do that I'm going to use the Nailchemy crystal totals gem glue and cure.
Now we can finish this design off with some topcoat and get that in the lamp and that’s it! I hope you enjoyed the video and ill see you in the next one! T’Rah Duck!
Lots a love Km xoxo

If you have a hard time trying to get flowers or any other large nail art pieces to lay flat, what I've done is use a dual form, aka pop-it, to press them down. I'll put a little base coat or builder gel on the dual form then just place it over the nail art. I hope that makes sense. 😅

I was thinking plastic wrap, but this idea would be so much easier!❤

I've tried using plastic wrap, and I've tried using a silicone stamper. But the pieces I am trying to hold down ALWAYS end up moving when I've used either of those methods. But I find the dual form method so much easier, and the nail art stays exactly where I want it.

And this is an awesome tip! Thank you so much 💐💐💐
poor Adam ,i was enjoying his knowledge about the oven lol .
Dehydrating flowers in the air fryer really does work !🙂
I absolutely love when Adam asks questions and gives ideas and inputs, it’s like you’re asking for us! Thank you Adam! And thank you for all the knowledge and lessons Kristy!!
Kudos to the camera dude. He ALWAYS ASKS THE PERFECT QUESTION. 💕 it.😁
It's so nice to see a design we were doing 20 years ago with regular polish come back.
Those are dyed forget-me-nots and dyed queen Anne’s lace!!! So gorgeous I love them
I just had to laugh because Adam is all worried about encapsulating that nail…I am loving his questions and nail knowledge. You go Adam! 😂 The nail is beautiful! I love a nice milkbath nail…they look so vintage. ❤❤
To answer Adam...you can use a dehydrator(90°F/32c) for some plants to dry. A airfryer would have a higher probability of cooking the plant material. Using a dehydrator on tendor leaves will assuredly brown them. Also flowers or plant leaves high in volatile oils, will brown. Its better to airdry or press them...this takes several weeks. Placing flowers and leaves in a vessel and covering with silicone beads is the best preservation for color and shape.
I've dried petals between wax paper and put in a book, it takes a while. Then to freshen colour I put a small amount of alcohol ink to get vibrant colour again.

I have some dried flowers the color isn't vibrant. Could you use food color, or would it fade? I don't have have alcohol inks. What do you suggest? Better yet.

You can use Sharpie or other permanent markers. Some flowers retain colour really well.

I love your vids. I’ve been following you since the “they who shan’t be named” days 😂. Now when I’m feeling crappy after chemo I go back & binge watch you work & your launches so thank you for helping me feel better ❤️
1. Is there a full track of the intro & outro music? I absolutely love it and Shazam doesn't know what it is. 2. Let's put some respect on Adam's brain! 👏🏽Air 👏🏽fryers 👏🏽are 👏🏽mini 👏🏽ovens! Save your coins. But I do imagine they're really helpful for ppl with kids or just need to make smaller portions.
I think he has something there...dehydrated flowers in the dehydrated machine!! Yes..lol😎🤔
I'm don't usually like flowers or even a lot of bling, but this is cute. I could see having one as an accent nail. As usual, good job Kirsty. Adam, clearly you have been doing this for a while, you ask good questions. Have a great week!!!
I actually liked the air fryer talk lol
Watching you rip that finger off to stick it into the lamp makes me giggle. It looks so real like it would hurt. Anyway super pretty.

This design makes my heart smile.
Now this is one BEAUTIFUL nail. I love the flowers and the gems.
This is a gorgeous design 🥰🌺🥰
Gorgeous!!❤ reminds me of antique vases or serving bowls
You can hold the flowers down with a clear silicone stamper and flash cure through it.
Summer florals are my favourite ❤ so pretty .
Beautiful nail.
Love it❤❤❤
Your nails are also looking perfect...love the pearlised effect.
Your own nails are so pretty too! Kirsty xxxx

Xoxo ❤ love this woman fr !zzzzzzz for Adam 🤣
Kirsty is looking super fresh faced and flawless in this vid! Can't wait to try some milkbath with gels.
Adam’s right! convection oven (has a fan) will work just fine as your air fryer. I have both and I don’t notice any difference. Love the milk bath look. thanks!
Perfect timing with this video! I just got some dried flowers and want to try them out. Thank you Kirsty!! Lots of Aloha to you, your girls and Adam and his family!! ❤❤🌺

You can also put flowers in the pages of a heavy book and it will press the flower and it will dry it out as well. If you like the book I would suggest putting the flower in between some wax paper so it doesn't stain the pages. Been a while since I've done it so I'm not sure how long it takes to completely dry out..

@@nickim4058 Yeah, I'd say it depends on how much moisture is in the flower.
Whe it was matte it made me think of a milk bath, with the stones and top coat it makes me think of a teapot design
So cool

I think if you put the white layer /under/ the one with the bits and bobs in, it might eliminate the need for filler on the nail.
Can we get a video of Kristy doing her own nails?!?! I really miss that!!!

The thumbnail made me think of milkbath nails.
I was just thinking about the beautiful Cherry Blossom trees in Japan...and hiw fabulous if you did a set based on tree Blossom? You could paint in the tree structure abd then use real dried flowers for the Blossom..or even a whole Spring Garden set?
❤
Where did you get those black tweezers from
Air fryers are cheap and available every were
Love these nails! Love your work! I watch every video multiple times, but I don’t know if I can listen to one more video with Adam man-splaining how to do nails. 🥴😵💫

How different is Strengthify to builder gel?
@GeorgiaFletcher-pe4ce
11 ай бұрын
Strengthify has been created for the natural nail in mind, it acts as a supporting product for a natural nail and flexes to the shape of the natural nail as it grows. Where as builder gel doesn’t Flex with the natural nail and you can build length with builder gel but not strengthify as it’s not to build length but strength 🙌🙌
Which i could send you a picture of my set
Would maybe adding a little basecoat to the flowers that are stiff and don't stick down much to make them more pliable work? 9:04
@GeorgiaFletcher-pe4ce
