Let’s put the blame on THIS war where it belongs - it started in 1979 when 8 US servicemen were killed by Muslims at the U.S. embassy in Beirut and took 52 hostages for 444 days and climaxed on 9/11. Yeah, it’s a tough fight of good over evil, for sure. It won’t be over until the end times.

@@wearethelarosas6395hey bud look into 9/11 more. A Bunch of reasons to question the narrative. From the building falling at free fall speed instead of slightly slowing down each floor. To the fire not being able to be put out for days. (Thermite is water proof in a sense. It needs to burn itself out. Normal building fires get drenched in hours and are out out. How about the 3rd FBI building that never was hit but also perfectly collapsed? What about the first hand footage on that day of fighter fighters saying they heard several explosions as they were inside. The chief said said get out and saved his crew. Or that French broadcaster who reported they collapsed BEFORE they actually did with the buildings visibly STANDING behind her.... Try to keep an open mind and follow that rabbit hole awhile.

My sister’s husband was exposed to some awful things as a child and enlisted in the army. It gave him structure, but then ptsd and other trauma. He is now a drug addict, an alcoholic, and my sister fell into alcoholism along with him. They are separated because they are so toxic together. They both stay with other family members because they have lost their way and would be homeless otherwise. And they have 5 children who suffer for it… the military doesn’t look after their own far too often. They use them and then leave them to deal with the aftermath.

I had an ex boyfriend who was special ops in a place where “we were in a country we shouldn’t have been in yet”. 18 yo kid that had skills as a sniper. He had a bad night drop & he got busted up pretty bad. They dropped him off in SD & said “see ya”. They never acknowledged he was “there” cause we weren’t supposed to be “there”. Denied all benefits. Denied HIM. I know this to be true (I had actually not believed him) cause I met his Pentagon General uncle at a wedding & my boyfriend confronted him about it. General was red in the face & said “you know I can’t talk about this”. Eye &?ear witness. He had PTSD & was crippled. He’d wake up at night & across the bed using his imaginary sniper rifle shooting. That was when I realized how cruel the military is. My dad would never speak of WWII. 4 years across Europe. My daughter’s father was in Vietnam. My daughter though hated my boyfriend cause of his PTSD & she & her husband told me one day that he wasn’t allowed around them. They also deserted their best friend who had come home from Iraq with PTSD cause “they felt unsafe”. My first husband went AWOL & tried to commit suicide. He was discharged immediately. It was only then that his parents decided to tell me that he & his mother were schizophrenic. Dear God what have we done to each other?

Your best guest so far by a mile. The basic fact of the story is tragic but it is told in a compelling way by an articulate person and there are other, more positive messages about assessing situations and distancing yourself from toxic ones, the power of action and of determination, to name just a few. And if the right people (or organisations) hear this, there is the possibility of real improvement in the way many things are handled and outcomes for the lives of real people. This was really, really good.

Those of us who were deployed early on in the wars (I was in Iraq during the 2003 invasion as a 63B20 myself) were used then forgotten. The deployments were longer and the equipment far less safe. When we got back there was no help. There are some videos of the things her husband had to do. Veterans commit suicide at a far higher rather than any other demographic. Both political parties have failed us. To this day IMO.

Godbless you. My husband is a Veteran. He suffers so much from the fallout. I think your ideas on the bereavement camp and helping is amazing.... maybe this will catch on.....I'd love to help in anyway. My whole family is military, I never made that sacrifice, I'd do alot to honor them and my husband for all of the sacrifices.....I was born to my Dad who was drafted in Vietnam. He only had me to stay State side.....I know all about turning mad instead of sad at Attica Prison. The shit our generation and all of the Veterans go thru. I mean I had a boss, a Lieutenant that didn't want to go to the trouble of paying Vets their $ for OTJ in NY DOCCS. The whole system gives zero fs. Your more help than I've heard in the past ten years. God bless everyone. And especially you, I lost my Mom to suicide, it's us left behind that bear such heavy weight. ❤

Summer needs so much more love. You can tell she is tired of being strong. I worry for her, especially her last few rushed words... about staying strong.. she may be "far" from it now, but it never ever ever goes away, being suicidal can come back at any given moment. Please do a follow up with her... I really hope she has support. Without professional, ongoing help, many of us would not be here right now.
