I saw someone saying something about Mu influencing Haruka. They're, or more like Haruka, are very attached to each other and look out for each other. Even those hair clips are from Mu. So the thing is maybe Mu's attitude rubs off on Haruka and she may use him as a scapgoat(?) I dunno but it seems plausible judging by Haruka's character 🤷

Yeah her injuries are pretty bad. She can only move around via wheelchair as found out in her birthday timeline convo.

All of the prisoners look different depending on if they were voted guilty or not. The ones guilty look terrified, beaten or disappointed while the innocent ones look a lot happier.

Their appearance *is* because of Kotoko but another thing I noticed is that the forgiven ones seem more freed and decently dressed compared to the first trial while the unforgiven ones have longer straps with a dishevelled appearance 🤔

Honestly, I'm a firm believer in Mu's innocence, but I had the exact same thought. It'd be very *very* interesting to see how Mu would react to being called guilty while Haruka gets an innocent verdict. In fact, I'd say her reaction could be the biggest thing to prove/disprove her being a toxic manipulator in the end. If she doesn't blame Haruka for it then Mu is probably much less horrible than people give her credit for. And if she does, then, well, that'd be the final nail in her coffin Edit: After the latest Haruka MV I would like to take my words back, Mu might end up in a coffin but for a completely different reason holy crap Edit, again: After the Voice Drama I changed my mind again, this is literally the worst possible thing to do holy crap my boy's gonna fucking kill himself if we do that

Now that the second trial is here. Reminder that Guilt/Innocent results is not only affect that prisoner. But also others prisoner too. For example Kotoko, because of the innocent verdict, she gains more authorities and started beating up guilty prisoners (That's why Guilty prisoners looks so beaten up) and if Shidou didn't get innocent verdict, he wouldn't treat Prisoner Guilty's injury (Which Mahiru said she would die if Shidou doesn't treat her). Futaa and Amane would look so much worse (Like Mahiru) if Kazui (who got innocent verdict) didn't protect them But at the same time... Innocent and Guilty verdict actually doesn't make things better. Innocent verdict just makes them more arrogant and fueling their worst trait while the Guilty one.... Well you know what happened. So guys, choose guilty/innocent verdict wisely (Or you can just go ham with vote lol)

@@XPurpleMyth3 It's kind of both. Put simply, you could be guilty but forgiven if you were too unstable or manipulated and would be considered not guilty. And on the actual site is shows innocent/guilty.

@@XPurpleMyth3 Yep, the original Japanese verdicts are "forgivable" or "unforgivable." They all are murderers, what they did were obviously guilty, so what's up to us is to forgive their crimes or not. Not sure why the English translation makes them guilty and innocent though.

Yeah! A few also became really cocky! 2 of the guilty verdicts were also begging why they weren’t forgiven while some of the innocent were laughing how they were! I love the little details!

Haruka and Mu becoming like this is very realistic, they were both extremely scared and anxious people so being forgiven by a third party turned their whole world around and made them go from the extreme of "i am always wrong" to the extreme of "i cannot be wrong".. Love the thought that's gone into this!! And especially for Kotoko, really makes you think... She was forgiven cuz she beat up/killed bad people, but we're unhappy with her doing exactly that right now.. The question of 'why would you stop me' is very valid, makes you think deep. Second trial gets better lessgooooo!!!

Eh I get that for Hanukkah but Mu was always iffy. Go back and listen to the season one voice line trailer and hear the part in the static, and check out her interview answers. She seemed more intent on saying that it was the bully’s fault before her from the start.

Not really. They werent bad people just because they got the guilty vote, all that Es (or we, by proxy) did was vote based on their current thoughts. As shown with Mu, it is near impossible to judge reasonably with only the first trial. This shows that kotoko chooses to rely on a third party to point out "the bad ones" so that she can beat them up, with the sole reason being that she believed the third party (Es) was always right. Giving up on your own reasonable judgement and relying on someone (or something) to do it for you is FAR from right.

@@cinnibunbun7389 The reason I dont think its organ harvesting is cause of the fact that the logistics of it are very hard to believe. Most of the time during medical procedures, theres another doctor in the room with you. I more think of it as that he was the one taking care of terminally ill patients, and was the one to always had to take them off life support. Now he feels guilt because he thinks of all the people who hes hurt.

I'm not trying to defend Muu because I think she definitely has some issues. But I think it's a bit short-sighted to act like everything wrong with Haruka is solely because he's being manipulated by her. Both of them have been very self-pitying people from the start, and both of them had similar motives for their crimes (lashing out at someone who failed to give them the attention they want). I'm seeing a lot of people discussing how Fuuta and Kotoko shouldn't be treated that differently, but nobody's considering the same for Haruka and Muu...IDK, I just think that Haruka has flaws of his own that are meant to be showcased here, and not just blamed on Muu. The idea that Muu is an awful irredeemable person but Haruka is a pure and innocent person when they have so much in common just doesn't sit right with me. For Muu, I think her behaviour is less about being a toxic manipulator and more about being clingy and overbearing, which I think is why her friends turned on her to begin with, not because she's a spoiled brat and evil mastermind. And I think for Haruka, he's not changing for the worse or indicating he's distressed at all- in fact there's ways their friendship has improved him as a person, like making him more confident and outspoken. Does that make everything 100% justified and healthy? No. But it's not like every relationship is just "healthy" or "not" with no further complexity. It's not black and white. But I could definitely be wrong about this when the songs actually come out. I want to wait for those until I make up my mind for sure, but I think it's something to consider. Edit: I wanted to change some wording a bit since I was half-asleep when I first wrote this. And I want to reinforce that this isn't me trying to blame Haruka more than Muu for anything- I agree with some of the replies that I think what Muu is doing is unhealthy, I just don't think it's something she's doing maliciously, and I don't think it should erase Haruka's own flaws and crimes either.

I think the main issue with Haruka is that a lot of his dialogue implies that he's... I don't know the word for it but he speaks very much like a child and a lot of his first trial music video was very children's themed. Meaning that even though he's able to act on his own, it's obvious that he's hungry for attention and with Mu giving him that attention and validating him about what he did while he seemingly has the mind of a child... Isn't good at all and does deserve to weigh into her verdict for the next round. This isn't to say she's horrible person. Good people can do bad things without realizing it because no one is there to tell them to stop. Even then the "He never says no to me" isn't doing her any favors, but it might have been put there for that reason.

Haruka is definitely a needy person, in an almost toxic way, although I think of him as one of the few prisoners to keep voting inno/to forgive. Mu on the other hand, is just subtly manipulative and sheltered due to her background in a way that unsettles me. I joined at around Kazui’s track, so I didn’t vote during Mu, though I would’ve voted her guilty, and will do so in this trial. Something irks me about her.

Yesss! I think the alter is singing, too, it would explain why the lyrics we see are Mikoto saying he's someone's "Savior" and asking them to rely on him; it's the alter telling the clueless alter to trust him to protect him (since the alter seems to mostly come out to protect? like when someone says Mikoto is guilty, they switch. Seems like he might not be violent for the sake of violence, but violent because he's trying to protect the system as a whole and he's the only one capable of doing so at the moment)

コトコが有罪になってミコトの精神状態が何らかの要因で裏人格の方にこれ以上偏ると、エスくんを助けられる人間がいなくなるからエスくんの身の安全を保証したいならコトコは無罪にした方がいいけど、デメリットもめちゃくちゃデカいことが判明した(襲撃イベント)から有罪にしたい気持ちもある

ちょっとだけしか流れなかったけど、今回も全曲凄すぎる！！ 「赦す」になったキャラはイメチェンだったり明るい表情に対して、「赦さない」になったキャラは服がボロボロだったり怪我してたり表情が闇落ち寸前なくらい暗いの怖いな、、、 特にアマネのセリフもだけど歌詞が「ちゃんと喉を潰してあげましょう」とか恐ろしい言葉が出ててめちゃくちゃ怖い！！ そして、自分たちの選択がいかに囚人たちの今後の運命を左右する重要なものだってことがハッキリした

カズイさんのボイス曰く、フータは途中で助けに入れたからまだマシな怪我だったらしい しかしマヒルは助けることができなかったらしく手足骨折の大怪我を負った ミコトはおそらく裏ミコトの身体能力で大怪我とまではいかなかった アマネは子供だったから手を出されなかったという子供扱いされたってのもあって内心キレてそう（） そんなボロボロな怪我を負った二人をシドウさんが治療、因みにこの治療がアマネに対して宗教的に禁忌を犯してるらしくロックオンされることに、逃げてシドウさん、超逃げて（）

Theory wise, I’m still really curious about Shidou. By all means in demeanor he seems very repentant and I want to believe it’s genuine (especially because his song is SOOOOO good and his voice actor has an amazing singing voice) but I’m still wary of the scissor symbolism used with him, as well as the whole “Kirisaki is his last name thing”. For those who don’t know, Kirisaki Jack is the Japanese name for Jack the Ripper. So. It’s just a little suspicious to me. But who knows maybe like he just thinks scissors are neat and is a very nice man outside of being a murderer IDK

WAIT I only just realized it but Kotoko's new song, Deep Cover, is clearly being put as a counterpart to Undercover, Es's main theme from Season 1! Since the song goes on into the credits you can even hear a little "under" line that assumedly serves as the start to the verse, just like in Undercover. That's honestly unbelievably cool, the attention to detail here is fantastic.

I love Milgram so much, but sometimes I wish it was like a video game where we could all vote on our own perspective and not have to rely on the entire community. I remember when I found out people voted fuuta guilty, but not the literally woman who has sadistic tendencies and thinks she’s above everyone else, beating up or killing people she deems “guilty” I was stunned. And she beat up all of the guilty- that’s just crazy. I just hope everyone can try and come to a level head this time around and really try to reunite with our theories! Can’t wait for the songs to come out, they all sound amazing >_

I think you're misunderstanding Kotoko's concept of a police vigilante, and the reason she attacked the guilty was because she only sees good and evil but I definitely we should be careful voting her.

@@chimkensomnusiii7080 Nah, I completely understand her. But that’s my issue with her. Only seeing good and evil, and she believes she can be justice and never be wrong. Besides only the first trail has been completed, so none of us can truly do a deep deep dive on her character, but it’s clear as day that she does consider herself more mighty than others, as she ‘purges’ what she considers evil. But I agree! We do need to watch out for her and some others

Oh, same-same. There are several things I was curious about but will never know since it's a public vote (like, for example, what would've happened if votes were 50:50?). I hope there will be Q&A with a creator sometime and some of my questions will be answered. Honestly, same. Like, I understand Fuuta (i think his vote was so heavily on "guilty" since internet-related themes we take too close to heart) but I was kinda icky about Kotoko. I get the appeal of vigilante, it's an inspiring fairy tale about justice in the world of injustice. But thinking about it a bit more realistically, killing people is still killing people. And i guess the idea of "killing is bad even if you kill a very bad person" is what makes the vote more difficult. I guess I went off the rails here. Anyway, I guess now there will be less people who'll want to vote Kotoko innocent. Though who knows, some people may want to repeat Amane situation (and that didn't really end well, did it?)

i feel like kazui's song is titled Cat in reference to the phrase 猫かぶり which quite literally means "wearing (as in wearing a mask) cat" or in other words faking innocence, because cats act innocent and are always deemed faultless no matter what disadvantage they cause my theory: could it be that the message of his song is he feels that his innocent verdict is "fake", as in we are forgiving him on merely surface level because he thinks we have yet to grasp the true ugliness behind his murder case? if my prediction is true then i hope we get to see what he did in a less filtered lenses and more depth this time

Finally a theory for him! I've been looking up and down for one on his song, he's my favorite and I do hope in the end he's innocent From what I've seen, all he's been doing is interacting with inmates in curiosity/friendly ways but others have said that's suspicious since he hasn't shown any negative qualities, he's the only one who mourned his victim in the Es music vid, but he put on a mask at the end of his vid, was that in a "I'm faking" way or not 🤔

I always thought Kazui was suspicious. The way I read his MV was that he cheated on his wife for someone he truly loved, and in order to pursue his love fully while avoiding infidelity, killed his wife. I feel like the whole thing involved essentially living a double life among the two women. Also, Kazui is practically the only person who hasn't changed in trial 2, which is REALLY suspicious. I really wonder what happens if he gets a guilty verdict. Will his mask come off?

@@NJackie Honestly, I think that could be some sort of act as well. Maybe not the apple part so much, maybe he was surprised at her committing suicide because he didn’t think she would do it. But the mourning part could also be an act. He could be pretending to be so saddened by her death so he’s often shown mourning, but he’s actually faking and doesn’t really care at all. I have an uncle that is (was? his wife died in 2015) exactly like this, an actual scumbag towards her but when she committed suicide he was surprised and pretended to be so saddened by it when in reality he didn’t care (he even told my mum to burn her suicide note for her oldest daughter about how much she loves her)

Just a few heads-up for the start of Second Trial, as I've seen already seen people misinterpret some characters Rembember that COVER SONGS we got and will get have nothing to do with actual stories/motives of the prisoners. The amount of people who judged Muu/Shidou/Mahiru harshly mainly because of their covers is... Eh. These songs are here just to give us something nice as a treat, something that acts as a "aesthetic" or "vibes" of each prisoner. Creators confirmed that cover songs have nothing to do with plot. When it comes to changes in behavior of some prisoners: - Yuno didn't became more cynical/apathic overnight. She mentioned she doesn't care about her verdict but we also see during her interrogation that some events in the past changed her world view to what it is now. She also felt "warmer" when Es said she doesn't have to keep her happy-go-lucky facade all the time so now we just have more honest version that isn't as extrovert and energetic as her initial behavior - Some people that supported Muu in the 1st Trial now turn her back on her and call her two-faced and manipulative just because she became smug - she always was like this. Her character description, Q&A, interrogation - everything told us she was spoiled bratty kid who can't read the mood. Accussing her of manipulation and suggesting she wasn't bullied at all is a bit too much - going by that logic Haruka should also concern more people but in the end they just start to feel comfortable in Milgram as they feel someone is caring about them and giving them positive attention which brings out, well, specificites of their personalities and detachment from the real world/other people - "Breaking" Amane by meta voters who wanted her to be Guitly was a risky idea from the start as she always maintained that her faith is the most important thing in her life so nothing changed. - Some suggest that Kotoko isn't completely responsible for injuries of Mahiru and Fuuta - even then, let's not forget that she is an aggressive person who believes world consists only of black and white. Even if she's just trying to impress Es or something, we're talking about a person who clearly takes pleasure in hurting people she believes to be "wrong" and literally calls herself "The Fangs" of the guard that watches her in prison (I'm still surprised by her high FORGIVE rate when she basically said that she will act like she's better than other prisoners in her Voice Drama fhxn)

Yeah, I find it really weird how harsh ppl are on muu when she hasn't changed that much. Like of course there was always going to be something more complex going on with her character, that's how this series works. Ppl saying that she "victimizes herself" of that she faked her bullying just because she's acting smug are really fucking gross too ngl. Not to mention that it's all the blame on muu but they say nothing about haruka, and she's literally a 16 yo kid It's really giving "I only support girls who have been abused and traumatized if they act like the perfect victim that's always crying with zero confidence and if they act differently than that they were the monster manipulator all this time actually and they deserve horrible things." I have a feeling that if muu was one of the pretty boys ™️ ppl would just say "good for him" ofc she's not flawless and her next songs are probably going to show us a darker side but everyone acting like her issues were faked is not it

@@egorkvyatkovskiy6624 personally I've felt like she's been playing the victim card since the beginning, I'm just starting to voice my opinions more confidently now (also calling ppl gross for creating these kinds of theories is a little far-fetched in my opinion, since first off the whole point of this project is for us to be constantly second-guessing and analysing these characters, secondly she's a fictional character, and thirdly we know reality from fiction and would never judge a person in Mu's situation in the real world like we're doing right now. Please let us speculate in peace)

3:05 Is it just me, or when you listen really closely to the end of the trailer, does is sound like Kotoko is singing "under", just like Es does in Undercover? There's also the fact that her 2nd song is called "Deep Cover", which is obviously similar to "Undercover" in name. Given Kotoko has firmly planted herself as Es' aide, I'm guessing Kotoko's 2nd MV will draw a lot of parallels to Undercover. I'm excited to see where it will go!

Interesting thing about the new art is that all of the people voted innocent now have more dynamic poses, and most have their hands raised, compared to the guilty prisoners, who all have their hands by their sides except for one of Mikoto's arms. I think that most of us looked past the character designs, but I think that there is probably a lot more to the designs that we think. Like with Mikoto, where his pose in the new season has one arm clutching his head, while the other one is resting by his side. Mikoto is the only guilty prisoner who has his hand higher than his shoulders, compared to the innocent characters, whose hands can be anywhere. This strengthens the idea that he has two personalities, with one being "Guilty" while the other is "Innocent". His hand is also grabbing his head really tightly, which also strengthens that. The prisoners also have a differing number of belts(?) on their bodies, with those who have highest amount tending to also be more aggressive (Kotoko and Mikoto). My guess is the number of belts on their bodies corresponds with the most physically dangerous. Another interesting thing is that the guilty prisoners belts are longer and actually hang off their shirt/straightjackets, while the innocent prisoners have more loose belts. Maybe a character is voted ultimately innocent, then their straightjacket will be completely removed, while a character voted ultimately guilty will be wrapped up even tighter, or possibly even die.

Shidou's song is called "Triage." I looked it up and wanted to share some definitions because I found it quite interesting in relation to Shidou and what the full song could be about. "In medicine, triage is a practice invoked when acute care cannot be provided for lack of resources. The process rations care towards those who are most in need of immediate care, and who benefit most from it. More generally it refers to prioritization of medical care as a whole." - "(in medical use) the assignment of degrees of urgency to wounds or illnesses to decide the order of treatment of a large number of patients or casualties." - "a: the sorting of and allocation of treatment to patients and especially battle and disaster victims according to a system of priorities designed to maximize the number of survivors b: the sorting of patients (as in an emergency room) according to the urgency of their need for care" - and so on... It makes me think- yes, the lyrics of the snippet of the song we got could be Shidou's feelings towards Es (us) for giving the forgiven verdict, but I wonder if a situation similar to this happened to him before and the lyrics are also about that? Or rather, something that happened during a practice of triage? With limited resources or in a dire situation, there's a chance someone in need will have to be ignored/sacrificed for the sake of others. What if Shidou's disagrees with this- that he blamed himself for not being able to save everyone, and then people told him it wasn't his fault/forgave him? However, his guilt is so strong that these sentiments annoyed and disgusted him to the point that he questioned: "Is this punishment?" and thus "...now I know how cruel this world is..." Just random thinking, if it doesn't make sense or you disagree please just move on instead if you're just going to be rude about it.

I think that the process of triage is actually he committed his murders like seeing someone in critical condition how one is more in a tight spot so he helps the one more unfortunate to keep up with his Doctor persona while lying about the other one that ‘just so happens to die’ while he quietly used their organs. I am a believer of Shidou being a man with multiple murders on his belt and with the title called ‘Triage’ could be a reference to his case BUT I TOTALLY SUPPORT YOUR COMMENT!

This is an interesting theory! And, I'd want to point out, that it's... very much a part of triage, especially in disaster situations when resources are limited, to not treat the most gravely injured even if they could theoretically be saved. (The thought is, basically, that sometimes a person is so gravely injured that the resources to keep them alive would be better used to keep three other, less severely injured but still seriously hurt people alive. It's about allocation of personel and resources. Quite literal "taking away in order to give", if you will...)

Amane's song is called "Shukusei March" One of Aum Shinrikyo's most well known songs (in large part because of the memes) is "Sonshi March" What we're shown of Amane's song sounds a lot like religious sanctioned murder similar to Aum's "poa." She describes strangulation. Many of Aum's murders, internal and external, were strangulation.

I love how the most replayed graph just flattens when it reaches to Kotoko's preview. My girl really did that

the new information about Mikoto having DID is making me think his song is his protector (avenger would be the more accurate role but not everyone knows what that is) singing about how he's "protected" the host, yet the host is upset with him.

@@bothersomeprince its like a protector but the things they do to protect arent always the right things to do. like in mikoto's case where it's probably murder in some way shape or form. they're usually triggered out when the host feels in danger or feels extreme amounts of rage. whenever systems dont have a word for something, we'll usually make one ourselves so thats why you probably didnt find it on any research site. we found it after another system friend talked to us about it.

アマネの曲明るい曲調なのに歌詞でえぐいこと言ってて大好きです！！！！！

I love how most of the forgiven prisoner are like "yay 😁" and indulging in their worst traits, meanwhile Shidou is calling the voters disgusting for forgiving him XD I personnally didn't vote (not sure if it's available in my country, plus I often felt very torn in my opinion of the prisoners) but I didn't expect the results to have such a sharp impact on the prisoners. I'm so excited to have followed this project since the beginning, the music is SO GOOD and the story is amazing and complex. Can't wait to know more about everyone and listen to new bangers by DECO*27 and Rockwell (give him a little love! He made the melody for Throw Down, and we all know how amazing it turned out!)

@@teoxonkrisnane.2066 The difference between Kazui & Mahiru is that Mahiru became too obsessed, she literally became a stalker. Her boyfriend wasn't feeling the relationship anymore and she just kept invading his space! Heck, she even held her dead lover by the neck once he committed s0icide to escape. Kazui, while still not fully trusted by a lot of people it seems, was voted innocent because at least he was shown mourning in his & the Es music video and when he was answering questions, like how he said he doesn't really like himself and doesn't wanna act by emotions again. With that being said, I'm sure he'll show more negative traits in his song when it releases, maybe he'll be voted guilty next, who knows, if he is then Futa better watch his back cause no one will be able to protect him anymore from kotoko

OKAY I’ve finished watching. I’m super excited for all of these but Mu and Kazui’s stand out to me in particular for the most striking difference in tone. Kazui’s soft lounge chill music changing to hot jazz like he’s gonna show some sort of Trickster side, and Mu’s song is already yet again absurdly catchy + I adore the subtle difference in voice. She sounds much more cheerful and less about like she’s going to cry, as she did in her first song. I’m also just really excited for Shidou’s too because his last song was my favorite of all the MILGRAM songs, musically. Something about the arrangement and instrumentation chosen to define him as a character really stands out against the others, in my opinion. …This is less of a theory post and more of a musician gushing post but I guess that’s all I can really offer. Can’t wait for Season 2 of Pain! Yay!

I really get the energy that Mikoto will be forgiven in this trial and that will be the biggest twist. 'I should have saved you, but why are you crying?', his alter is very protective and he seems distraught that he couldn't 'save' the host, possibly referring to the guilty verdict but it could also be referring to the trauma that caused Mikoto's DID in the first place. Maybe the psychological effects of MILGRAM have broken down the mental barrier that protected him from his trauma, or at the very least it seems that Mikoto will now have become aware that he has DID, something that in itself the alter may have wanted to protect him from. 'Rely on me, praise me with your song, I am your savior', clearly whatever motive the alter had for killing he feels it was necessary to protect Mikoto and even being told he is guilty, he still believes he is a savior. I predict that both in the song/music video and the voice drama Mikoto will be at odds with his alter, after all he hates violence and will probably be horrified when he learns the truth. The alter will probably try and convince Mikoto that he always did what he thought was necessary, and honestly I believe that its the truth. People with DID are first and foremost victims of a traumatic experience so horrendous that the developing mind cannot accept it, and so it locks it away as an alter so that the person can live a normal life. An alter like Mikoto's is by its very existence designed to protect the host. I think that when the story comes out people will see that he is not just a monster and maybe even his killing had a good reason. Song sounds amazing too, theres so much emotion in his voice, I can't wait!

It's really both disgusting and saddening how the results of our votes changed the characters' mental (and physical, Mahiru looks like she just came back from the vietnam war) states so badly. From what we can obtain from the new songs, it is highly likely that the songs are structured to make the viewer repeat their votes from last time (The innocents get to play the victim card and the guilty will sound more desperate and/or unremorseful, like Amane's morbid lyrics.) So there will be two "motives" behind the votes this time: To vote similar to the previous trial is to be strung along by the prisoners; To vote the opposite is to be strung along by your own ego, voting to correct your previous mistake, see "what could have been", or selfishly want to see more of their fate regardless of the song.

I thought it was pretty clear that he did cheat in his mv, I believe kazui thought his wife had started to lose feelings for him and their relationship, therefore leading to him cheating with someone else I assume because he had been forgiven in the first trial, he reveals his true beliefs as he feels justified in his decision

Why aren't there more people talking about how much of a banger Kazui's song is? I love it so much 😭

I`m really interested in Shido and Kazui's songs. Their stories have the most questions and the most ambiguous symbolisms. They seem the most regretful at the moment. All of this hiding I guess because they're the older two, they're full of complex emotions and thoughts. Especially these lines for Kazui's Cat （愛情）-（愛） ダサいな 化かし合い which are translated as "Devotion-love, lame, cheating" Deco*27 songs always have such interesting prose and the added element of how its translate is always interesting. Like shout out to Shido's Triage have です echo'd so it sounds like "death death" （愛情）-（愛）is essentially saying "what is love minus the love", with Japanese means being left with the 情 part which has many meanings depending on context and usage. ダサいな becoming "Lame" is straightforward but an important point is Japanese in general commonly leaves out the subject of sentences. Such a short line can have very different meanings and perspectives depending on context. Then the big "cheating". It seems clear after watching Kazui's half MV there's something about spousal cheating and so English speakers aren't actually surprised to see it. But the Japanese line is very interesting. So first off spousal cheating or cheating on your romantic partner is the first thought but I think its important to keep in mind other meaning like cheating at games, cheating the system, feeling cheated. 化かし合い is a very interesting choice of words. A google search shows its commonly a shortening of the full phrase 狐と狸の化かし合い. It can be translated as, "a fox and tanuki (racoon dog) deceiving each other". Its about two people being dishonest to outwit each other. It being translated as cheating is leaving out a lot of context but the ambiguous nature of the word cheating is great for leaving it up to your interpretation. Can't wait to hear all the full songs and see the MVs.

Fun fact I saw on Tumblr, when ore/Mikoto says “naa ore ga sukutta hazu darou” “hazu” it’s written as ハズ, which is short for husband. Hazu usually means “should have” but in that case it’s written as はず. So it’s a pun, “I should have saved you” but also “I’m the husband who saved you”

Ok, I decided to go back through the first "song of the prisoners" and listen through both, and I'm glad I did, because I found some interesting connections. Like Kotoko's last line of her first preview is "I will gouge you out with my fangs" and the *first* line of her second preview is "So I became your fang", and the last line of Mahiru's first preview ends with "Please forgive me" and the last line of her second preview is "I am not forgiven". Also, while not directly tied to the previews, I thought it was interesting the the *next* line of Haruka's song after the last line of his preview is "I was wrong", while the first line of his second preview is "I wasn't wrong".

Coming back to this video to say it's really unfair how people immediately say "wow this person got so cocky and rude cause they were innocent let's take them down a notch and vote them guilty" like my guy if you committed a crime and s bunch of people told you that you were right, you were justified, you were never at fault wouldn't you let that grt to your head too? I don’t think we’ll get more story, just everyones reactions and where they want to go from here on. We already know their crimes. Haruka killed a kid and a dog and Yuno had an abortion via stairs

And for those two in particular, I don't think we can confidently say we do know their crimes; I certainly don't think the only thing Haruka did was murder a dog, and I absolutely do not subscribe to the theory that Yuno's in MILGRAM for having an abortion.

@@CanIswearinmyhandle If we got everything we needed from the first MVs, then what's the point of the three trial system? Why not just call it done now and seal everyone to their verdict? Jackalope stated that the extraction process "can't extract all mental images at once" and "you won't learn everything all at once. Depending on the prisoner, you may not know what their exact sins were in the first trials", in other words no singular MV contains the full story within themselves, hence why we have to run the prisoners through it three times, to get a better idea of the full picture. I'm not out to discourage you from your own theories, you very well could be right, but I'm gonna hold out for more information before coming to my own conclusions.

@@NaturesRose I think the upcoming songs might not show the crimes in more detail but just how everyone is reacting, because I think it will be hard for the creators to go really into detail and still make the voting interesting. Like say for example that we learn that Fuuta cyberbullied someone who he knew was suicidal about something really minor, most people will probably vote guilty for that. On the other hand if we learn he cyberbullied someone who kept sexually harassing women and nobody could stop him until Fuuta ratioed him, people will probably forgive that. It might still be done of course, there are some talented people working on this thing. And it might take some turn I didn't even consider

@@lifemisery9279 True, a more fitting word would be SHELTERED. Can’t dent that the bullying was real to an extent, but I think it’s mainly because of how clueless Mu is of the not-rich world. And it irks me in a disappointed way in her attitude in this trial.

It feels like we're being manipulated just as much as we manipulate the characters. They noticed how we metavote based on how confident the prisoners are in their innocence (Mahiru and Amane in particular) and now they give us a song titled literally "not my fault"? Yeah, they 100% want us to vote guilty here, no way in hell they didn't know what they were doing

@@whizkeysh0t Kazui is likely gonna trick the audience into voting him guilty as part of his 12d-chess galaxy brain plan to jail break Milgram. Ofcourse he understands what this means if he is removed from being able to protect others so he is likely trying to get as many people on his side so that no one dies during his time restrained. His voice drama and MV [Half] is just way too honest so much so that he even acknowledges his own fault and murder even if he didn't actually kill. The bigger question is, can/will the audience actually vote him guilty.
