❤️ It's the lesson I have learned and earned after leaving an abusive marriage of 15 years. Do I ever wish I was in a healthy, happy relationship/marriage? Sure. I have my moments. But, overall, I spent the next 15 years (hit this is January, yes I married young, 18) working on healing and internalizing this message. I don't date, and it's doubtful I ever will. My life is full. I have made great friends and memories. It has, however, been a rough 3 months with my friendship group. Of my friendship group, S, P, and L have died (L just 3 days ago and all 3 in the past 3ish months). G just got out of a nursing rehab after a year of treatment post MVA. L2 has cancer, and K isn't well and is 75 or 76. I have yet to process the grief with my own health crises. I am so glad that you're happily married! In a healthy marriage, you are safe to explore and regain that connection. Do you have a couple of CLOSE friends, a support network? Our society is very couple oriented. You can truly have the best of both worlds. ❤️ 🫂 Be kind to yourself. I think it's difficult to find and maintain that connection with self in our society.
