Mileseey Bilateral Laser Rangefinder 120' distance. Mid-room measuring, wall dividing, trigonometry

amzn.to/3yGpYiK Mileseey Bilateral Laser Rangefinder has a 120' distance range. Can measure mid-room by firing a laser out each end and adding. Dividing a wall into fractions like thirds, half, or fifteenths. Onboard trigonometry to calculate object heights and triangle geometry. USB-C rechargeable. And much more.
This glimpse into the DP20, I'm told is available when the kickstarter campaign begins.

Nice presentation. Very good tool and practical. But for now I use the bosch one with a green laser. A lithium ion battery pack is also available for the bosch, with the USB C charging port. And also I was able to find a belt clip for the bosch, which is fixed by a little screw in the tripod mounting. It is waterproof, I tested it in a bucket of water. And bosch make another one with built in camera for long distances. But this one in the video is more practical, I will buy one when they become available. 👍👍👍

I am a painting estimator and the DP20 Pro is a must have for those who want fast accurate measurements of a room's in seconds. It's a total game changer. No more bumping my DeWalt laser measurer against customer's walls for length & width, and no more bending down to figure the ceiling height. I have tried every other bilateral measurer on the market, and the DP20 Pro has the fastest turn on time to measure time, vs the Magpies VH-80's 3 second power on, and a heck of a lot faster than the awful Prexiso P700LI that can requires holding the power button for 3 seconds to turn on, then 3 second holds 3 times to get to dual finally get to dual measure mode which is far too slow when you need it. The Prexiso also does not have a horizontal screen which means you have to turn your head to see the measurement. The bottom line, the Prexiso is garbage. Now when it comes to the Magpie VH-80... DO NOT DROP IT! Sure, the Magpie is fast as and was very impressed using it for the first time, but then I dropped it once and the screen went blank. The drop was only a couple feet and was shocked. Yes, it has nice rubber ends, Bluetooth capabilities, it's pricy, but dont let its looks and specs fool you. Either I got a lemon, or the Magpie is just that fragile. I would not recommend it at all. Lastly, I do want to say that I have been using another bilateral measurer for years called the LSR-2, which is by far the winner when it comes to power on time which is instant without a loading screen, to measurement time about 1 second, and have dropped it so many times and the thing just doesn't want to die. It's battery life also is incredible working for weeks without a charge. Unfortunately it's been discontinued and no longer available. The DP20 Pro is the closest equivalent to the LSR-2 and am happy still with it, but again it could be faster. If anyone from the Mileseey reads this, please update in a future firmware patch, to give us the option to press power once to turn on, and also the option to remove Mileseey load screen. It needs to boot faster. We do not need to hold the power button or see the company logo. It's too slow. With those 2 tweeks, it would beat my LSR-2. I'm absolutely going to use the DP20 Pro here and there as a backup, but it needs to power on and load faster. Once you experience taking a measurement in only 3 seconds with the LSR-2, its hard to go back.

These newer optical sensor modules are pretty neat. I picked up a cheapo one a few years back to check it out and even that was able to consistently measure the thickness of the included "target" card (~1/16") from 60' away. I'm curious how this higher-end one does in bright conditions like outside in the middle of the day. That seems to be the main limitation with mine.

Have you looked at the Magpie VH-80? I've tried it, and the app is buggy - at least, my experience wasn't that good. The tool itself is good. Also, the battery life was pretty bad. How do Mileseey and the accompanying app stack up? Thanks

When you used 2 lasers the box was 33.2 cm, when you used 1 laser the box was 33.4 cm

Yeah I noticed that which is a large discrepancy for such a small area. Think I’ll wait this out until someone does a proper review of the most iportant aspect (accuracy) of this device.

How long did you play around with the meter? Looks like some of the words and symbols on the buttons already fainted?

I've had it about 3 weeks. It is likely an early version of low production run. More of a proof of concept or engineering sample. That said, there is room for bolder indicators.

It's a very impressive object....but looks a little too designer.,built for the drafting office.,not for "site" use.......cannot see it coping with a paint spill or a concrete splatter...The Bosch item seams to be the ruggedised., good for site.,I would suggest..Maybe the Mk II..?
