Come with me for a quick ride as I test the top speed of the Miles Phantom with cloudwheels.

The Phantom is packing serious heat.
So much that some people aren't believers.
We've heard these 2 things from the complainers:
1. "There's no way it can go 30mph"
2. "The board is too short to go high speeds"
Instead of arguing with these folks we just went out and filmed a speed test instead.
You tell me if it looks slow, or if I look unstable at 30mph
The Phantom's shape lends to quite a wide wheelbase - couple this with the firm drop deck and it makes for a super stable ride, even at max speed.
Not once have I gotten speed wobbles and if you watch the videos, you can see full throttle is the only way I ride!

Just got mine today! I've skated street for a good 15 years and messed with a short cruiser long board on the mission beach boardwalk. Today was my first time on an electric skateboard, and let me tell you this thing is a blast! By time I put 1.5 miles on it I was ready for speed mode 3 and hit 26 with the cloud wheels before it got wobbly. I need to tighten up the trucks some more, but this thing is amazing stable for such a short board!

Love the specs of this board, but can I get it with s different grip design? Personally really don't like this yellow police tape style. (Or is it easy to change the grip tape?)

@@RobRast I think some foam grip would work nicely, since it's a very firm deck, to ease the fatigue of those 29-30 miles... Simple shapes, in shades of dark grey and black. Or dark blue and dark grey.

Would you say the board is as quiet as hub motors? Kinda hard to hear with music over the top

Yes it's about the same volume level but rides much quieter than the dual due to softer ride
Only reason I'm not dropping down 1K on this is cuz of that drop deck. at 6'1" I can't imagine such a tight stance. I also can't see having half the foot at the top of the rise and other half on the lower. Too bad, this board and specs look sick. Being an OG, I'd love to see an electric board built on a modded classic 80's deck like something from Vision or Hosoi.

Hey TheBo, I hear you on that and a lot of folks have voiced simliar concerns. The drop is really sweet to hook your feet into and really be able to push the board to your will. We'll get a vid of some taller folks on it soon for you. Also gonna check out those classic decks!

What you're asking for already exists, it's a Bustin YoFace board - I'm interested in one of those too, but it's over 2x the cost of a Meepo Mini 2 which is also very desirable - I'll probably pick up one of them soon.

Hey Rob can i get some free 97mm stock PU wheels for my Phantom? I lost 3 of the 4 when I swapped them out on the edge of the cliff! I couldn't control myself and threw out the 4th! Now i am regretting it! Never got a chance to really ride on them! I promise i will make a good review! 🤣
