Dude needs to get back down to earth. He WAS world champion 10 years ago. That was a one time thing never meant to happen again. Now there are tens of fencers better than him and he barely makes it to T64

The WWE is slowly infecting every sport

On a side note, that's what they must have felt when they were dueling for real back in the day. Imagine putting your life on the line, heart pumping as you can die right there. The duel starts, few exchanges and boom, you are the winner, your opponent lays down on the grass and you are still breathing, fueled up with adrenaline. Those braves who did that must truly have felt like world champion. Surely a unique experience.

@@RJN0607 you can't get blackcarded for asking for a replay or celebrating excessively he just needs to salute his opponent. Complaing to the ref wouldnt get you automatically kicked out of the event and miles is an overall well known fencer so I think people know that he's gonna be complaining... The last bout however, he might need to get carded for that one cause that celebration was ridiculous.

My coach would, if he were still alive. Maybe it's because he fenced old school and it's the paratrooper inside him. Same thing with the director we had that was in the Marines. Whatever the case is, if they were still around, their discipline and toughness will not let this behavior pass. It's one thing if you are courteous, but those other escapades are where I draw the asymptote.
