    Marc is absolutely right. I bought two of these Staib mesh watch braces. The quality is top notch. Very sturdy, very stylish, looks great with pilots, such as my Sinn 103 and 104 and dive watches, such as my Squale and Zelos. It gives you that vintage style vibe of the 60s. They are very comfortable, too!! Just make sure you chose the right length.

    Thanks for this great video! I have two 2792 Staib bracelets (thinner, with the dual butterfly clasp). Build quality and finish are awesome. One, satin finished, is on a 1981 Omega Constellation Quartz Chronometer which I've had since new, and it's by far the nicest strap/bracelet I've ever had on it. The other is polished and on a Sinn 6068B, which I also love (Sinn offer tons of straps and bracelets, but no mesh ones). I'm super pleased with both. I also have a Junghans 17mmm milanese mesh on a Seiko Dolce JDM: this bracelet is beautifully thin (the case is only 5.3mm thick!), but the Staib bracelets are in another league for quality. You really get what you pay for!

Ask any machinist if he or she would disagree that the prices are relative to the craftsmanship! Even an engineer would agree, right Mark? Great look, great quality & a great business to get wonderful sales support from if you are interested in a place w h ere you get beautiful watches , accessories , fair prices with as always, great sales help! I've never heard this anywhere else about Staibs, and I've watched a fair few vids on these straps. Marc does great stuff, so I'll share it here. If you use the micro-adjust holes, the exact ones you use can make a real difference to where the watch case sits on your wrist. Mine used to ride upwards a bit, so today's experiment was moving the clasp. It's pretty much fixed the case riding up - and it's even more comfortable. These are great straps - and it might be that yours could be even better if you micro-adjust exactlly where the clasp sits.

    Marc, I bought a watch that has a 150mm Staib Mesh (deployment clasp with micro adjustments) which I expect to receive next week. The watch being a Sinn 104 is 47mm lug to lug. I have 7.5 inch wrist. In your opinion would I be able to use the 150mm using the micro adjustments to their fullest without the watch being too tight? I tend to like my watches slightly loose.

    Hey, I got one question about the size : on my watch, I already have a mesh, but I want to replace it by a STAIB mesh for better quality. The mesh that is on the watch measures 150mm. So I guess the 150mm STAIB will fit perfectly. But I'm concerned about the deployant clasp, as it might add an extra thickness under the wrist. Then I would have to go for 155mm ? And if I do so, what's the better way : buy a 150mm and add an extra link or buy a 170mm and remove 3 links ? Thanks !

    It should just be a difference of a few mm so it doesn't hurt to just do the lug to lug measurement. (Do bear in mind that your wrist does vary in size based on various factors so it is best to approximate then get it adjusted after actually getting it on your wrist.)

  • @bosskeystore8694

    @bosskeystore8694

    5 жыл бұрын

    You probably want to go with the 150mm. (Your wrist is 190mm 7.5 in and the lug width is 48.5 on that phoibos) 150+48.5 = 198.5 : 170+48.5 = 218.5 Seeing as the bracelets can only be adjusted by 5mm increments for a max of -20mm You should get the 150mm band and take one link out, but as there is the butterfly clasp between the bracelet and your wrist it might fit perfectly out of the box. {Worst case buy an extra link on amazon for $16.} The 170mm band would need all of the links taken out to get down to 198.5mm and you would just be stuck with that extra 5mm.

  • @donald2818
    @donald28183 жыл бұрын

    I believe you made a mistake Marc. You put the 130mm on your watch, that's what you said it was as the start of the video. A 150mm would not fit a 6.75" wrist well. You would have to take every link out and even then it might be a bit too big. I have the same wrist as you and I calculated one link out of the 130mm.

    It’s funny the pun that everyone’s videos end with - “Thank you for watching!”. Anyway, those are amazing bracelets. I’m sure you’ll pick up some well-deserved sales. I’m kind of of the opinion that since a watch is in part jewelry, as is the bracelet, as long as the combination looks great, the cost of the watch doesn’t matter. What do you think?

    There is a model that is 4.5mm thick and I dont think the mesh tapers in thickness so its 4.5mm straight from one end to the other. It has screwed links. Yes screwed links whereas the others all use push pins. Also the spring bar hole diameter is 2.1 to take a 2mm spring bar whereas all the others are 1.85 to take a 1.78mm or 1.8mm spring bar. It's the heaviest of all the Staib bracelets I think at 110g for the longest 190mm size and they also do that model in 170, 150 and 130 so 4 sizes and its available in 3 colours, black, silver polished and silver brushed. Only seen it in 22mm size. It also only comes with the butterfly style clasp. I think it may be known as the monster mesh. It's about £220. Just purchased a Staib myself in 150mm and it was too short so had to return it and order a 170mm which should be here on Monday hopefully. Make sure to buy the correct size if getting the ones without the links in. They have the nicer diver style clasp with the twin button lock and a safety clip. It was hard to see online the difference between the brushed and polished. So again I went with the polished. Might have been a mistake I don't know. Not many photos or videos of them which is surprising. I guess maybe because they are expensive but people pay hundreds for watches so why not £200 for a bracelet that will last for years and can be fitted to other watches. Would love to see the black Staib reveiwed. Also was going to order from you but I'm in the UK and I'm unsure about customs fees. Although you do have the best prices on the internet. I wish my Staib had the 2mm spring bar holes but only 1.8. I hope to get a few more Staibs. A black one and a monster mesh. I also like how the one I have purchased tapers from 22mm to 20mm which gives it some nice shape instead of being straight. EDIT: Brushed vs polished is shown in this video : )

    Great help Mark, once again you have made important details clear. The bracelets are beautiful and considering the machining & assembling of these is clearly excellence. Thanks Mark, this is as close to handling the bracelet one can expect for choosing online.
