Premijera vikend specijal - (TV Pink 26.02.2017.) Hosts: Tijana and Ognjen Guest: Milan Stankovic -First part (0:00-4:13) Tijana: And now a premiere.. Ognjen: We are hiding him, don't want to show you who our next guest is haha. Tijana: Yes, finally!! Tanananaa... Milan Stankovic! Finally!!! Ognjen: Yes, finally! Milan: I know you've called me a thousand times, and I always had the same answer ''I don't want to come because I don't have new music". Now I do have music, I brought my new music video, so if you don't show it on TV now, I'll blow up the building of TV Pink! Ognjen: No, we have a deal, we will watch it later, don't worry haha. Milan: But really, joking aside, that's very important to me because I want more people to see what we were making and why I have waited for a year and a half to release something new after so successful last album. I want them to see my change and how I see music today. Ognjen: Talking about your new song "Ego", your campaign is great. On social networks you use hashtag ''ego'' all the time.. You changed your music genre and it sounds really amazing. Milan: Yes, yes. Well back in 2009 I started to sing those kind of songs "Face", "Solo" etc. which were characterized as a teen songs back then. But, I've always listened to every music genre whether it's rock, pop, folk or dubstep and hip hop. So it wasn't difficult at all to get in the studio and work with Buba and Jala who are nowadays very, very successful in this genre. We agreed easily, I sang the song in their studio for just half an hour and that was it. I liked the lyrics, everything was put together. Song is named "Ego", I think that there is no person who could characterize ego and ego problems better than I can. So, I joke these days on the Internet about being egoistic. Ognjen: Are you? Milan: Well, even if I am, that's ok. We all have some defects. Tijana: And how did it look your research for new music last year and a half? We know you are very professional. Milan: And perfectionist. You watched me in "Pinkove zvezdice" and you could hear that I always pay attention to details. I really want to put all the pieces together, visually, musically and to send a message to people, first to those who love and understand me and then to others who didn't understand me to start doing it... So I visited a dozen studios, listened to 26 demo tapes, I composed myself. And I would like my next album to be ready in summer, but I know it won't be. Ognjen: Because you are so thorough. Milan: Yes. But it will be a lot of new stuff because I think people are ready for all that. Tijana: We really are, we have waited for so long. Milan: Because few years ago, I started wearing different clothes and people mocked me saying:"He wears tights, he dyed his hair, his pants will fall off''. And now look around, everyone is wearing those exact things. So, the point is that I have to wait for some time for people to understand me and everything that I offer. There are a lot more beautiful things to come and I think that my public and I can laugh but also cry together with my music and that's the way I mostly try to connect with them. Ognjen: How was your life without media the past year? Did you have some rest without journalists calling you? Milan: I didn't answer to any of those calls and I apologize to everyone. Now I have a PR manager who will answer all those calls. I tried to rest last two months, go on vacation, but I didn't manage, I had to finish everything about the song and the video and that's it. Second part (4:24) Ognjen: Welcome back, live from studio 3 of TV Pink, you are watching Premijera Vikend Specijal. Our dear Milan Stankovic is still with us. There's a lot of reasons to talk to him and after a long media pause he came to us. Thank you Milan for this exclusive interview. Milan: Anytime. I promised I would come and that's it. Tijana: Admit it, we were the most persistent of all and called you the most times. Milan: Yes, inter alia. But it's well known that TV Pink is my other home. Ognjen: That's great. (After live broadcast from a house of famous Serbian singer Milos Bojanic - 5:11) Ognjen: Milan, what do you think of opening door of your home and showing your intimacy to TV reporters? You don't like to talk about your private life in the media. Milan: Yes. I don't like that, I mean I never thought of it. We have many social networks where I can have a contact with my public and that's enough. I'm not that kind of exhibitionist, but I respect people who do that. We are all different. And I like the house of Milos Bojanic. We should all go to his swimming pool in summer. Ognjen: Yes, he has a great swimming pool. Milan, let's go back to your new song "Ego". A lot of your colleagues are sending me messages right now saying to salute you and to tell you that your song is amazing. Did they congratulate you in person? Milan: Thank you. Yes, some of them congratulated me, the ones that are close to me. Generally, I don't have a lot of friends among colleagues, but I'm in good terms with everyone. Nikolija posted my song on her FB page. Hi, NIki. Hi Rea. Ognjen: Did you see her daughter Rea? Milan: I can't talk about that. Ognjen: Why? Milan: That's her privacy. We are friends. Rea is an adorable little creature and I wish them all the best. Yes I saw her and I think Nikolija has changed, she got some new energy after becoming a mother. That's very important, we should all become better people with age. Ognjen: Ok, you are mysterious about your "Ego". I saw it's the second most popular video in our region. Milan: That's because our Prime Minister Vucic was in the first place. Why Aleksandar Vucic has to be more popular than Milan Stankovic? Hahaha Tijana: He was the first on trending on YT haha? Milan: Yes, haha. Ognjen: That's good. That means you have a huge number of people who support you. Milan: Yes, yes, of course. Joking aside, the most important thing is that the song already has 4 million views in such a short period and that the target group I wanted to reach in this way recognized that. There will be my ballads on my next album for people who like that side of me. But this is how I feel currently and I think the word "ego" completed the whole thing and that we've done a good job. Ognjen: We want to relax you now a little bit... Milan: I have to say, my alarm rang shortly before, so I just woke up. Tijana: Good morning, Milan. Third part (11:45) /after TV premiere of "Ego" music video/ Ognjen: Our dear viewers just watched TV premiere of Milan's new music video. Tijana: Milan watched it too, for the first time on TV. Ognjen: And he's shocked. Milan: Because I did also the color correction, and I know literally every phase of that video. But I like how it looks on TV, it's great. With your popularity comes huge media interest, you are always on their spotlight. Milan: That's my karma. Tijana: You are avoiding us. I mean media in Serbia generally. And you are very successful in it. Milan: I'll tell you what's my biggest advantage. After Eurovision when I was banned, my public waited for me. In the meantime, the worst possible headlines about me were in every newspapers. And, in that way, people have acquired all the prejudices about me and got the wrong, negative opinion. But, my public waited for me! That's the moment when I realised that the most important thing is the connection between me and my public. Media, journalists are our friends and associates and we can talk to them about some nice, interesting topics, but nowadays when newspapers are full of extreme things, nudity, blood, I really can't imagine myself as a part of all that. Not because I think I'm better than anyone else, I'm just not that extrovert and exhibitionist. Tijana: And every time you post something on the internet, journalists use it to make articles. Milan: I'm ok with that. That's fine. Tijana: Last article was a photo of you holding a cigarette. The moment you posted it on your Instagram, every possible newspapers wrote:"Look what Milan Stankovic is doing". I admit it, I had to open to see what's that haha. Milan: Haha, yes. Shame on me. Tijana: Do you think about that when you want to post something on your profile? Has ever happened that you didn't post something you wanted just because media would make a big deal of it? Milan: I don't think what other people say. That's my life, the way I live it. I know that in every newspapers every week among 60 pages, there's always one page separated for me. They write some story they don't even check if it's true, they don't even call to ask me. But, as long as it doesn't affect my relationship with public, it's ok. I understand they have to write something, it's their job. Ognjen: What about that photo you posted on Instagram on Valentine's day with a description "back to game"? Everyone was talking that you fell in love. Is that true? Milan: .... Hm.. Ognjen: Haha, I assume this means yes. Milan: That was on Valentine's day? Tijana: Yes. Milan: But I didn't show my... That was just a girl from the video.. Tijana: You gave us a hint about your music video. Milan: Yes, the song is about that. Tijana: Did you read comments bellow those articles? Milan: God forbid, no! Ognjen: You never read comments? Milan: Never. I read it first two or three years and I was annoyed. If it was up to people who are not part of this job, I probably wouldn't exist. Unfortunately, only dead people are loved by everyone. So, I don't read those comments. I have a rule on my Facebook page and Instagram to remove every negative energy from oasis of love and beauty that my fans and I have. Thank God that I have them so many. Tijana: And you have them all around the world. Milan: All around the world. From Japan to Poland, Germany... Here in the Balkans. I'm so glad they recognized something in me, it's all about mutual understanding.
