Yeah it was fun 😄

I always say, a (any) velomobile is a 350 days bike. The other 6 days are to windy or too thick snow. But then again it depends in what country you live in. Here in the Netherlands it's no problem to ride in the winter.

@@TheVelomobileChannel Thats why we dutch developed the 'polderfiets'. A fast velomobile for flat roads. Protecting against rain and 'dutch mountains' (wind). Haha. Carl Rasmussen developed the Leitra for scandinavian winters with lots of snow. As the english say: horses for cources

It sort of looks like a very slow bobsled when it sinks into the snow like that.

It works in cold...just not snow. Love the laugh. Reminds me of myself riding in high wind.🤣

Love it! Great demo and comparison. Be cool to put skis on the front and spikes on the rear. They could be engineered to raise the body a bit for the deep snow. Take care…..😎👍

Well, the best is that you don't have to call a tractor to take you back out of snow! The velomobile's weight is the greatest advantage

Maybe tracks...? There are some retrofit kits available. One from Canada, even. Not very fast though.

Maybe a shade more ground clearance for that snow… I wonder what the mango would do with studded tyres all round

You need the flame thrower option.

We have the same Quatrovelo and I love these kinda velomobiles.....

yep 4 track in the snow but no grip or clearance of sl yes you are wright no snow here and temp above 5 + here make a board in front to pusch snow

I saw this and already knew wat was gonna happen. Onve that rear tire breaks traction ur stuck. Nothing 1 mountain bike tire cant fix. Good luck fitting a knobby tire on the quattrovelo. I think 5he only one that might fit on the rear might be the schwalbe little joe. Yea i think this goes with ur previous video "dont go wen the conditions are bad" in snow that deep ill walk mine to the roads as theyre usually plowed near me. Guess u dont have the same luxury. But in snow that deep i wouldnt take any velomobile cuz the body will just scrape the snow the whole time creating a lot of drag. Best to w8 til they plow the roads.

Quattro looks even better, when those small bits of wheels are sinken at snow. A bit like hovercraft from star wars or something. Maybe not the best way how to effectively commute, but definitely great for cool commute :-)

Could you add zip-tires around the rear wheels to get more traction, like snow chains on a car?
