How does it work with the tickets. i saw people walking around all week. do you buy a ticker for everyday?

Hiya, Fuorisalone across the city is completely free, so no tickets needed. You might need to register for some of the evening events and parties due to capacity. You will only need tickets if you’re going to Salone del mobile the furniture fair at the fair ground.

Hiya, I usually stay somewhere between the Central Station - Milano Porta Venezia and Città Studi. I find it’s pretty convenient to get to all places. Last time I stayed at the Ibis Milano Centro.

Thank you for your reply! I am coming from the states and it will be my first time… do you recommend arriving the Friday before the Salone? Someone mentioned to me about talks that they do the weekend before but I can’t find information on line. Or what day do you recommend arriving?

@linabeltran7706 Lovely that you'll be coming over from the US. So, Salone del Mobile and Milan Design Week will take place from 16th - 21st April this year (2024). From past experiences I don't think arriving the Friday before will bring you much benefit, as most designers will only be arriving that weekend and will still be busy setting up. Monday 15th, tends to be reserved for press previews, so a lot of exhibitions will only fully open to the public from Tuesday 16th. And I would say Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (the beginning of Design Week) are the key timings for talks and events.
