Miku Expo, London 2018 ★ The first Vocaloid Concert in London!! ★

I apologise for the poor quality videos from the concert, my phone is usually amazing at recording but the strobe lights really freaked it out and because of that a lot of the clips were pretty messed up. Then there was the issue of being so far away from the stage up in "VIP", so getting any close up videos was a nightmare and the majority came out pretty bad...
I truly am sorry, hopefully you all can still enjoy the video and for everyone who attended the event, I hope you can smile and remember what an amazing experience the whole concert was!
Here's just a little rundown of the event for me... The staff and security was pretty poor and unprepared, I had emailed to sort out seating in VIP (as standing for too long would lead to me collapsing) but when I made it into where the concert was held I was told I wouldn't have a seat as it wasn't their issue... (It was their issue and their promise) Eventually they got the person I emailed (and had a confirmed seat from) to come down and see me. He apologised for the mistake and then just left me to be sorted out by someone else. It took a lot of hard work and help from two wonderful ladies who stood up for me and helped me get what was promised.
By this point I was already sore from standing a while and pretty emotionally drained from it all... They eventually sorted out a seat and when it came to the concert the song choice was amazing, they played all the songs I really hoped they would play (apart from Blackjack but that's okay as we got "just be friends", which made me just as happy) and the atmosphere was truly amazing. The convert was great and I was happy I could go, I just hope for the next time Miku Expo comes to London the staff will be more prepared and also hold to their promises.
Thank you for watching my video and for supporting the channel over this year, going onto 2019 I plan on trying to get out more dance covers (Kpop and Jpop) as this year I feel I didn't get as many done as I wished I could... Mainly due to still being injured. I'm still waiting on surgery, but i'll try and keep uploading as much as possible.

Weirdest thing was that there were little kids with their parents - 8 to 12, very young - and their parents seemed to completely not understand that this was a concert. I watched a woman straight up WALK OFF and leave her kids - who both instantly became scared and worried and ran off look looking for her, lose their space. I get that it seems childish, but a concert is a concert, and it was FULL of adults. You can't leave a 9 year old alone is a massive crowd unsupervised like that. I'm glad this next concert coming to UK has better rules.

i’m only 13 so when i went to miku expo london i was 10 and i had a miku plush and i was shaking it around and my mum and dad where at the side with my sister and i was in the big crowd

such a great video, puts a huge smile on my face! i remember looking up at the vip balcony with my friend and her saying she'd be annoyed if she paid to be so far from the stage but to be honest i was in the middle of the crowd and with my height i couldn't see the stage for most of the concert. :') so it makes me happy to watch this and see what it looked like from higher up! the energy was amazing. best night ever!

It was a shock to be so far away from the stage but looking back on it all I'm happy with the view I got. It allowed me to get some nice videos to remember the night. ❤️ I hope you still had a wonderful time even if the view was limited! Being in the giant crowd must have been an amazing experience. They chose a place with NO slope to the flooring, so if you were short you were shit out of luck, and you had the watch the concert through the TV's attached to the roof. Me and my little sister got lucky though, very good place to stand right up front! Had an amazing time!! VIP seated section was actually at the very back of the hall on a balcony - I didn't envy them lol. VIP standing section was up front, but due to how small the section was, the non-sloped floor, and no height organization, it didn't look like the shorter people should have bothered paying for VIP up front either ;w; Not nearly enough staff to run the sale section (TWO PEOPLE?!) so the queue took FOREVER. Even then, the prices were abysmal - BUY YOUR OWN GLOWSTICK BEFORE YOU GO. Saw people pay £50 for one only to have it break before the concert even started.
OH MY GOD THAT'S AWFUL, THERE WERE NO SEATS AT ALL? I was thinking that when I crossed the second floor "WHERE ARE THE SEATS" but you legit had NONE?! I'm so sorry, you should've gotten the ground floor tickets... damn, that's really a shame. The venue's staff were ass too, AND LIKE WE COULDN'T EVEN SIT DOWN WHILE WAITING 2 1/2 HRS.

They had some seats up in second floor VIP but very few, I had contacted about getting a seat reserved but they told me it wasn't their issue. After a lot of hassle and help from two over concert attendees I finally got a seat upstairs... If I hadn't got a seat I wouldn't have been able to stay for the concert due to my hip injury. 😭 They really should have sorted out seating for everyone though as it was way too long to stand around in cramped conditions. 😅

Hello! Here in the US I’ve gone to Miku Expo 2016 (San Francisco, CA) and Miku Expo 2018 (San Jose, CA) and both times I got VIP “seats”. As you’ve noticed, there are NO SEATS for us VIP’s! It’s fun but if you’re around 5 feet or under it is a nightmare and you can see close to nothing. I am 5’2 so you can probably see how I suffered ;-; the next day is absolutely painful, and I could barely stand. Next Miku Expo you betcha I’m getting a regular seat. It’s cheaper and includes chairs.

I remember seeing seats downstairs, but as is normal for these kinds of concerts, the standard ticketholders were standing. Olympia isn't a concert venue which is why the 'arena' had no seats (it's actually a convention centre), and I honestly believe they didn't expect the event to sell out - obviously the organisesrs should've been a bit more prepared but I personally (and a lot of other people I asked) preferred the 'pit' because interacting with the concert is tons more fun standing. Of course that's an issue if you can't stand for that long, but seating was available... though I do agree that they should've had some assigned seating sorted out for VIP ticket holders. at no point were we not allowed to sit while waiting tho? I was sat down when the line was building up and before the start of the concert when the ads were running.

Damn the venue seems so much better than Brixton and so is the set list. Such a shame the crowd was shit and instead the crowd was better this year.
Great video hun. 😃 You may have been far away, but you had a way better view than down among the sea of glow sticks. 😌 You'll see when E uploads her video. The guy on the other side of me was about the same height as me, and we had a good old fashioned British moan about all the tall people in front of us. 😉

Yeah being far away did suck a little but in the end it was kinda nice to see the wave of glowsticks. I hope you both still had a wonderful time even with the tall lot Infront of you. ☺️❤️

Oof the vip balcony view looks bad I mean it is good that you can see miku and the others but when filming it kinda sucks cause you’re far away I bought a regular ticket and I was near the computers and stuff you can see me changing the glow stick colors in the band introduction I had two glow sticks near the end of the concert, my mom was gonna buy vip for me but they were sold out

Yeah the view was alright but it really felt like we were watching a concert instead of being part of the concert. A shame they chose a venue that wasn't really made for concerts but it was the first for London so I try to give them a little slack. Ahh I hope you had a wonderful time, from that area I'm sure you had a fairly good view of it all! xx

wowpinkyay my view wasn’t that bad I could kinda see them if I stood up a little but I mostly saw them on the video on my phone and at one point someone kept getting in the way and it annoyed me
