Miki just has THE voice
Miki Berenyi - total 4AD legend, total independent legend - and still making fab music - 35 (?) years on from the start of Lush. Still sounding great & other worldly - which was a part of 4ADs signature sounds - alongside Elizabeth Fraser & Lisa Gerrard. So much love for these ladies & great to see Miki still out there and smashing it on the legend that is Bella Union. My life has been enriched by 4AD & now Bella Union for 40 years in total. Chuffin' eck that dates me but wow, what music.

Love this performance and very happy to hear Miki in 2024. Am still a huge Lush fan and overjoyed to discover this gem.

I remember hanging out with Lush backstage at Slims in the 90s. They were so good and I loved the whole shoe gazer movement from British bands like Lush. The label 4ad was famous in the 80s . Love this song it is just right❤️❤️❤️
lyrics are as sharp as ever and very cool to hear miki sing over some electronic music equipment, can’t wait to hear how the trio evolves !
At first, I thought they could've shined a bigger spotlight on the chorus asI quite like it. After a few listens, my opinion changed 100%. I like that you have to find it a bit. It's a really good song and I like it very much.

I love those Squire Jaguar bass guitars. I think I have two. Miki sounds great, good production, cool vocal notes as always.
A great song. Love the video too. It was a sad time when the world of Indie music was bereft of Miki's presence. So glad that along with Moose & Oli, Miki has decided to create more music.

Saw the show in LA last night. Miki and the guitarist did a good job for it being the first show and she was graceful and sounded solid. But the bassist needs to get back in the woodshed especially on the Lush material. He is as unprepared and played a lot of wrong notes/off time etc….on a couple songs it was cringe worthy…..no excuses. Reading off charts looking lost at times..:: Moose really should have manned up and got over his Phobia of flying for Miki and done this tour so a last min guy wasn’t having to step in. Sorry but that’s just asinine. This is you your basically wife/partner and you can’t do it for her? Sorry but that’s ridiculous and hurts the band. I think Miki deserves better. The guitarist (who is normally bass) did well and I commend them for hanging in but I felt it could have and should have been lights out better.. Wishing Miki well and I hope the bassist gets rid of the charts and actually memorizes the material. I just don’t get it. As a pro myself if it was my band that would not fly. Miki is being very cool and patient. The new single is beautiful and grand. I hope that Miki keeps going and that those around her step it up. She’s great.
