I gotta say, I watched the whole game, wish I could see the complete. Great game to watch, Props to Bonita Vista for playing with heart and desire. Very good coaching on BV side. As far as San Ysidro, they have three (3) very talented players, great full court defense. But despite the win, they will need to improve the basics and the discipline. Not bashing, just advice from a HS BB Coach, UIL referee , and a city in Texas that holds multiple state championships. College will be 5 levels above this, be prepared. Sure would like to see JJ, Mikey and Gerardo make it, they have natural skill.

Yet another game where the score should have been a 40 point blowout but they let other teams stay in the game with lazy defense and going for the spectacular play instead of the 2 points. How old is MIkey now, 28? lol. Who has both arms sleeve tatted at that age? You're still going to think all that stuff is cool when you're 39? (I got no prob with being tatted up, just think you should accumulate them over some years--this kid has no room for kids and more important stuff than he could possibly have experienced at 17-18). Anyway, I still click the vid to see what the fuss is about, and every time I see him I don't like his character, body language, or poise. He does little wack shit like these two gestures all the time: 6:07 - lazy pass TO followed by a 'not my fault' shrug, then great chasedown, but does another little disappointed shrug when they give up points anyway, like the TO wasn't his fault (6:13). The one at 6:15 pissed me off tho. Teammate travels, instead of giving him any leadership encouragement like forget it, or just saying nothing, he does that same little a-hole shrug you see in every vid and looks at his teammate like he's an an a-hole for messing up. His whole demeanor was like "Ya'll see this trash I'm stuck with" then he looks away instead of saying anything to him like 'who cares, I am going to college next year" 6:35--turns the ball over again and immediately gives up on the play--look at him just standing there under his basket--so there's no help on the other end when he's the fastest person on the court and it was his mistake. This kid is the next OJ Mayo.
