10:45 Anyone who has been in this position even with someone that is slightly heavier than yourself should know how much credit Musumeci deserves for even trying that sweep. Credit for being in bottom close guard for almost 10 min holding the double of your weight against your neck, etc. This match was pure heart and guard retention.

Yeah. You can’t rough people up and that slob played a pussies game. Used none of his slob attributes. Pin his ankle down with your knee or foot and do what you want with them. It’s frowned upon in bjj. As it’s a game and nothing realistic about it. What tye rutolo did to Nicky Gordon is how you play. Stomp ankles with your feet throw the other leg over and mash. Nobody is doing this in 2022 yet. Guy on his back just stomp and grab an ankle. They absolutely hate hit. Just like forearm pressure to nose eyes and just making every position uncomfortable. It’s a weird game that even women and the elderly can achieve the best of the best status. Do some catch. Bjj is for absolute pussies and everyone can do it. And it’s so limited in physicality and roughing someone up. This match is an absolute joke. And just shows that this fat fuxk is a black belt somehow. Trying abposition game. Playing patty cake as he’s conditioned to be a pansy

@@voce3337 Mikey survived the pressure of a 400 pound guy at sub 150 pounds. He's probably one of a handful of people in the world that could do it. He also presents enough threat to keep his opponent from making any reckless movements. Lastly he is constantly switching grips and working to off balance his opponent to maintain control of his guard without taking on too much weight. It's masterful technique that forced his opponent to mostly smash and hunker down.

This match right here, this video in general is going to be remembered as a landmark in the young sport of jiujitsu. Two opponents that are Multiple weight classes apart, a commentator that barely speaks English, horrible sound quality and other fighters rolling into the frame. It's such a young and immature sport as Gordon Ryan rightfully said.

Hello Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial. On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people. While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there. Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there. I've been in the process of change for a while now and I have made some decent changes but don't you just hate it when people can't let go of your past mistakes. I saw your profile and it intrigued me. I wanted to learn more about who you are and what type of path you would like on in life. Can we talk?

It’s like Lennox Lewis fighting pernell Whitaker and Lennox is just laying back trying to outbox pernell. While he should just his his physicality. And steamroll him. A sport where you can reach the pinnacle as a part time pamper or elderly. And you don’t have to get an ass Whoopingbisnt a good fightint art. This fat fuxk could stand above him just control a leg. Pin it and step on it. Then control the other leg They hate this in a gym and view it as dirty. But a guys laying on his back. Rough him up. Especially with that size. Tye rutollo did this to Nicky Ryan constantly and dominated him. It’s pretty basic stuff if you have done catch or use your brain against someone who plays this game. Someone said - "guard (if you can't get past their legs) is a neutral position not a pin. In order to pin you have to get past their legs, otherwise its easy for them to escape you or to sweep you or triangle you etc. The big guy sat in guard for a while without passing which is considered game delay (penalty), he also smashed the little guy's face while in guard, which causes a lot of pain, but doesn't really advance the position or cause a real submission (smashing the face while inside guard is a penalty). Because of these two penalties Mikey won. The guy tried to pressure pass mikey, but he relied on his size strength and weight instead of skill, and mikey has enormous skill, so was able to handle the guy. Honestly I am impressed, fighting people 3 times your size is hard. The big guy should have tried a deeper lock or tried to stack him. when regular pressure passing wasn't working.... it might not have worked as Mikey is very skilled, but it would have been at least trying something different" a few scrolls down

Top position has the responsibility to at least attempt to pass guard or submit the guard player. Since he did nothing, he got penalized. I am actually shocked that the ref didn't warn him (if he did, and I didn't hear it ignore me), and penalize him earlier. Bulldozing someone across the mat with no technique show zero ability or learned skill, especially that of a black belt

Last year Naga expert open my first match at 167 was a 270lb 6 5 roided up to shit guy. I shot a low single and got crushed/he ripped me up/took my back and tried to finish via rnc. I got my shoulders out and cut the angle and he gassed. Got up - scored a takedown and they reset us as it was out of bounds. He spent the next 3 minutes gasping for air (as did I lol - had 2 before that) and I couldn’t get him down - but he had like 5 pts knocked off for running (I was snapping the head down - pushing him - nothing). I was pissed - but I understand the difficulty of this sort of size descrepancy. Mikey is a beast!

I don’t see how someone that fat could really be a black belt. I roll with a really fat guy and most moves are physically impossible for him to do. I get that it’s also pretty hard to deal with the weight smashing down on you and it can be a bit hard to submit someone who’s got that much girth but they are also severely limited in what moves they are capable of doing. How could that guy possibly have demonstrated a black belt level repertoire of moves?

@@darrenstettner5381 If you drop-in at enough JJ schools, you'll find that there are people who earn upper belts through accrued mat hours alone -- which is supposed to translate into a developed skillset, but not always as you can see. My guess is that this guy likely kept showing up for a long time, and his instructor felt compelled (for whatever reason) to promote him all the way to black belt. There might be an alternative explanation such as the one you suggested above, but it's even more unlikely.
