Mike Taylor is best known internationally for being the lead guitarist and co-writer of mega-hits such as 'Rocky Mountain High', 'Sunshine on my Shoulder' and 'Eagle and the Hawk' with John Denver. But those in the Carolina Lowcountry recognize him as an historian. Moving to Hilton Head island in 1972, he attended the University of South Carolina where he was a Research Fellow for the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology. He also served as the Director of the Museum of Hilton Head island from 1986 to1993. Following a brief illness, Mike unfortunately died at the early age of 62 on Sept. 5, 2010. With the permission of his wife, Mary Kay, we're offering this free, entertaining 60-minute audio program for a free history lesson like no other.
