For sure that Louis didn't kill Perkins - right? - but... it would be amazing if he did 🙄:
let’s be honest, this ain’t your first time watching this
This has gotta be one of the finest pilot episode in a tv series
I still love the fact that Mike ran into a room of lawyers saying "I'm just trying to ditch the cops, okay."
Imagine how much simpler the show would've been if he hired mike as a paralegal and put him through law school.
In the real world, if such a situation arose, Harvey would have hired mike on as a paralegal, and Harvey and Jessica could have lobbied Harvard into letting Mike go to school there. Companies or a firm, in this case, generally do this with a contract guaranteeing a set amount of years of that person's future employment. They pay for education, and that person agrees to work for them for a set amount of years after they graduate. It's a win-win. But Fraud makes for better TV.
The greatest first time lead character's meeting each other scene in the world
Harvey looks at the Harvard graduates in disappointment then he looks at Mike whom he met five minutes ago but he is already sitting in his chair. He really found another him.
I don't think there has ever been a stronger pilot episode to a series.
“I would say that’s fair, sometimes I like to hang out with people that aren’t that bright just to see how the other half lives” Such a perfect line
The first guy's "because I have an appointment" line is actually pretty clever.
This scene slaps.
Legend has it that Rick Sorkin is still late for his interview
Best definition of ‘and the rest was history…’
It was smart from the writers to keep moving away from Mike's memory powers and have him slip up only to be saved by Harvey, Jessica and Louis expertise. From then on, Mike actually learned the craft and his gift became secondary to his skill as a lawyer.
After doing law school, I am happy to say that I completely understood everything that was asked and talked about in this scene.

This hit SOOO HARD when they played it in series finale in the last episode of season 9, just reliving everything!
One of the greatest shows I've ever seen. Fun fact: this show actually inspired people to become lawyers or pursue some kind of career in law
9yrs ago this scene got me hooked!
