Perry literally found his home man. He was great in the UFC and was fun to watch but with BKF he’s just in his element and it shows in his performances. It’s great to see especially since he’s from the same place as me lol nice seeing a Florida man get paid for being a Florida man💀

@@SmashEverybodyBrotha Did you not? Perry is the type of fighter that cant life without this and usually as an mma fighter you either make a career in the ufc or you dont at all. So when they dropped him there was no clear path forward except for bellator which nobody cares about. He also wasnt good enough to really make it in mma. He likes brawling too much and people can and did take advantage of that. Nobody could have predicted Mike would end up as the face of a new promotion which thanks to him actually becomes relevant enough to stay afloat.

@@monkeyboy275bobo8 I’ve only been dialed into ufc since Jan Vs Izzy and have been catching up since so wasn’t really familiar with Mike Perry’s early career although I knew that he didn’t have a spotless record, still seemed to get fan love so that’s why I asked the question. Now that you put it that way, it does make sense to have thought that. the momentum mikes gotten from BKFC is unprecedented for his career and probably wouldn’t have happened at all, at least to this degree if he wasn’t shining like he is in BKFC. so def a case of “I guess we’ll never know” if Mike didn’t find his lane in BKFC I still want to see him back in UFC tho as that’s where all the story lines are, combat sport wise, BKFC def his home, and well deserved also.

I can feel Mike's respect for DJ from the way he carried himself throughout this interview

So cool to see Perry in such a healthy and happy mindset, as well as him getting to appreciate financial freedom and his own plentiful successes. I remember seeing him really battle some demons back in his early ufc days, basically living out his whip, whilst fighting with his girl at that time.

Mike is legend, deserve all respect he gets it's earned...he told I'm gonna do this and that and did it... keep ti up Mike.

I love it when Mike said “I think I made it baby”! That’s good shit!

He’s the GOAT for me, everyone says Jon Jones but the popping positive for steroids several times moves him down in my book. Demetrius was so dominant in the UFC and so respectful to his opponents it made his PPV numbers lower because the lack of drama. Dana White only cared about money, he didn’t respect the absolute legend he had with DJ.
