Then it is up to the immigration service to seperate the real asylum seekers from the economic asylum seekers they can deport after there day in court. Technically, the vast majority of historical immigrants to the USA were economic migrants. Even when the USA was giving away homesteads (160 acres) to Europeans for free, it was the "poor huddled masses" of the greater European area that made the trip. Arugably, if land was not free in the USA no one would have come to the USA. Columbus found the USA in 1492, but no one wanted to come to the central core landmass of the USA until a solid 300 years later. BTW: by that rationale, the moon should *start* to be colonized - somewhere around year 2269 at earliest, assuming man landed on the moon in '69.

So sad what we have become. My grandparents came here legally in 56. My grandfather told us kids it was the best move he ever made. I was raised Democrat, but switched to republican 30 years ago.

Just a thought... I wonder, when the American constitution was created, if they could foresee that America (and Europe) would be exploited by immigration for decades and burdened with supporting immigrants indefinitely, because there are no jobs? Of course I think it is 'nice' to offer children born on foreign soil citizenship, and it is the Christian thing to do (if you really want to tick the morality box) but it is no longer realistic, productive or economically feasible in the world we live in today. America is over 20 trillion dollars in debt, and millions have been unemployed for decades, and millions that do work are struggling just to survive (as slaves to massive credit card debt.) You are right about it becoming necessary to (as you say) 'defend ourselves' during this immigration crisis and if saying no to more mouths to feed, clothe and shelter (while millions of Americans go without) then so be it. There is an out of control global 'population explosion' that has the entire planet on the brink of disaster. (Consider the population of the planet was 1 billion in 1918, and it is over 8 billion in 2018, and it will be 16 billion in 50 years.) How exactly are Europe and America supposed to support millions of immigrants when their own economy is in the toilet, they are on the brink of bankruptcy, as they are tens of trillions of dollars in debt. Millions have been unemployed for decades, as decent paying jobs have been replaced by robotic technology and cheap slave labor in China and India. Europe and America are sinking fast and there are no more jobs for immigrants and no more money (tax paying dollars) for the governments to feed, clothe and house millions of immigrants for years on end. In a perfect world, when times are booming and there is plenty to share with those less fortunate, America can afford to be generous and set a moral standard... unfortunately, in the real world we live in today, times are tough and 'social cut backs' are the new norm (there is no sign of things getting better) we need to fight to survive, or as you said 'defend ourselves' without being made to feel guilty or appear to be cruel for not giving those born here (and as a result, their immigrant parents) recourse to live in America. Americans have paid heavily and have a long history of sacrifice, as millions have died for the right to live in the land of the free. It is an insult to Americans, that people outside of America think they can just have a baby in America, and are entitled to then automatically enjoy all the benefits of being an American citizen. (America is free... living here is not!) There is nobody to blame if Americas top priority (after decades of rampant greed, corruption and unemployment) is to focus on defending their way of life and protect their own interests, instead of catering to millions of immigrants wanting a 'better life' that show up at the border and demand to be taken in. Sad to say, but immigrants will also have to face the harsh reality of the world we live in today and need to stay in their home country and make sacrifices, fight to survive and 'defend' themselves, instead of running away to another country and force other people to feed, clothe, shelter and fight to protect their freedom. And to be clear 'defending ourselves' does not make Europe or America immoral, especially when you consider how many immigrants are not welcomed into wealthy Arab countries, Russia or China for example.

The big issue that few are talking about in the media, is the voter fraud that allows illegal immigrants to vote and gain control of the country. I live in Phoenix and just next door to me, two men used two girls for Human Trafficking for sale, and something went wrong, the two men wanted more money for the two girls ages (13 and 16) One of the guys shot the the guy because he didn't have enough money, one man fled behind our house went over our fence! Just about that time there were 8 squad cars surrounding our house! I"m seeing this all take place just three or four feet away from my window. I heard shots fired, and I ran to the bathroom and locked the door! Don't think for one minute that I didn't almost went poop in my pants folks! The next day I read about it in the paper. This happen just a few weeks ago. Were moving.....

Strange, I live in Venezuela and buy food, bought a house, pay for private school for my kids, put fuel in my cars, pay my babysitter and housekeeper with that money you call worthless. Plenty of toilet paper just sitting here in the house and the help doesn't try to steal it.

I've still got a chandelier I purchased in Venezuela 15 years ago.. all hand made, glass blown by craftsmen .. back then, it cost $22,000.00, but it is one of a kind and well worth the price. That's the good... There was also armed police walking the streets with live ammo draped across their torso .. a LOT of armed police. One trip, we were shopping for fine leather goods, and a Policia Van pulled up, 6 police jumped out of the van, ran into one of the shops, came out with a distressed man and THREW the guy head first into the van (he was handcuffed and legcuffed) .. I asked our guide, "What the hell was that", and he said it was more than likely a shop lifter .. Nice! .. Now, it's worse .. A LOT WORSE ..

Look up "Pueblo Sin Fronteras" (which means Town without borders) as an organization that has been helping migrants move north for over 10 years. They have a set of way points with shelter, medical care, food, entertainment along routes through Mexico. UNICEF hands out maps of these stops, as do other groups. Guess they don't want them continuing along known paths to the United States. These groups even arrange buses and other transportation to move people along the routes and will help people catch back up if they are falling behind. They hand out clothing and supplies. I don't know about Venezuela or other such possible funders, but there have been "open borders" supporters helping people move north for years. Even without these groups there are as many coming through border all the time! These groups are just more dramatic. Also check out IOM (International Organization for Migration), which are on hand to help these north moving migrants. Doctors without Borders helps. Many groups seem to have a vested interest in helping people "migrate" vs remain in their countries.

They want Venezuela, which has the largest proven oil reserves in the world and the 2nd largest amount of gold,,,,,, and they will tell any lie, kill anyone, put out any propaganda necessary to get it all. Of course, that would equate to the deaths of (minimum) tens of thousands of people in Venezuela, a few thousand US soldiers, the installation of a brutal regime after an invasion, the beginning of a real humanitarian crisis in Venezuela (there is not one now),,,,,, and last but not least massive profits for a few corporations in North America and Europe. In 2005, we went to Granada Spain to visit my niece who was studying there. One of the tourist stops we did was the Arab district. The Arab owner at first seemed very nice and I don't recall what we talked about. He invited us over the next day and so we did after site-seeing. I don't recall what or how we got on the subject of politics but these chilling words he stated to us I will never forget; 'He stated,' we are going to take back Spain. I responded by saying, 'Spain was never your country, you conquered it for about three hundred yours but it was never yours! (We are of Latin-American background). He then rose to his feet and pointed a finger in my face (since I was the one who responded to him) and stated to us; "Ah ha!" And we are going to Conquer your Country! He knew we were American except for an Argentinian who was with us. I asked him, just how do you plan on doing this? He stated; 'We are already coming in through Canada and through Mexico.' This was thirteen year's ago.... America, wake up!! I quickly told our small group in English that we better get the heck out of here! Notice how most of these people coming in are young men like between fifteen to about forty? If you don't believe we are being invaded, you will know this in the very near future!

My family and I came here legally. We went through the process which included a 5 years wait, medical exams, blood tests, vaccinations, paid fees. My parents had to learn some English and some basic U.S. laws and govt because questions were asked about the U.S. during many interviews.

International Law says: "Asylum Seekers must apply for asylum in the first country they come to". They will be braking the law.

The Truth when told is that which uplifts another. Anything which crushes another person cannot be true." So that too must be taken into account.

I just remembered about 4 or 5 years ago. I business man was being interviewed about this wall that was going to be built. Ultimately, it was to keep us US citizens in! He took his family and moved out of the US. He kept saying get out while you still can. I thought, hmmm I wonder if he has a valid point.

Charity starts at home. We have so many people hungry and homeless and disabled with insufficient medical coverage. Take care of our own tired and broken society then see what we have left to help our neighbors.

I'm concerned about the criminals hiding in the caravans. Soon as they get over, watch the chaos that comes after. Certain cities in the south hardly have job opportunities, what's going to happen when all those people get over here, more hard times.

Nobody is coming in “over a wall” they come in through the front door, drive in through the border or through secret tunnels...

They why pass up offers of asylum from others countries along the way. They are paid at every checkpoint they get to.

Some of those people in the caravan are better dressed than I am and have better phones than me! America First. No to illegal immigration. No to other countries disrespecting the USA. No to open borders . Anyone who comes here must do it the right way and allow us to vet you thoroughly.
