Mike Patton's Vocal Range (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Fantômas)

Музыка

The INCREDIBLE Mike Unbelievable Patton has your vocal range analyzed in this video (by Timi T., who has others vocal range's videos): • Video
I've add some informations in the search and made it into my molds, but not uncrediting the original fount. I hope you all enjoy and comment if anything is wrong or missed.
In this video, was used like refference some of the groups were he's the sing-leader (Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Tomahawk, Fantômas, Lovage, Peeping Tom and solo career), collaborations (inclusive with John Zorn's Moonchild) and live concerts.

Thank you so much for making this video notificates. I love the comments and the participation! For the ones who saying "screaming is not singing": the video is not about that. Actually, this video is not about proving anything. You can search for another work about it and I highly recommend that because I'm only a fan with lots of free time by the year I made the video and here you'll only see the register of what he can do with the voice, not arguing about his technique. With that in mind, for the purpose of the video, his screams count (and by the way, it is awesome!!).

Incredible!! If you add a young Russell Mael of Sparks on the right side of the piano, they together easily cover the whole keyboard. Listen to 'Equator' for instance. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gqNq0tJmg8S3YaQ.html That was in 1974, 'Kimono My House'. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoGexZtmgMvQodo.html 1975, 'Pineapple' from 'Indiscreet'. Just wait for that word "need"... Neither that is human, the other way around. You can't expect the man to have the same voice today, though. He is not the best because Mike Patton and the others were not born with velvety voices, they trained and perfected contributing to the creation of new musical genres, and by the way Faith no More is considered by critics to be the founding band of New Metal, of which to this day albums appear at the top of the Billboard. After all, Mike Patton, aged 23, already had an MTV Awards and today he has dozens of national and international awards, so good luck to Dimash.

His more mainstream stuff gets a lot of attention. 4 out of 5 Faith No More albums charted in the top 40 in the US, and the one that didn't peaked at 41. Even Mr. Bungle had their last two albums hit the top 200. Heck, he's pretty much responsible for creating rap metal. He just does so much more out there stuff that most regular listeners would never go near. If you look at what percentage of his stuff is/was popular, it looks like he's barely been noticed, but he's been fairly successful.

One of the greatest vocalist to ever grace a microphone in my humble opinion. No one has ever pushed their vocal craft to the absolute threshold of human capability in so many different and diverse styles quite like Mike Patton. His is the definition of a melophiliac with a life dedicated to pursuing, pushing and honing his vocal craftsmanship to a almost god like level. He's got my vote and I hope he's able to keep his passion for it because boy he burns the candle at both ends and it's gotta make you wonder just how much can one man do and if that well is infinite or close to it's last bucket. But he shows no signs of fatiguing so guess we'll just have to wait and see what the great Mike Patton has in store for the foreseeable future.

I’ve just discovered this KZread channel. I have vowed to not comment on KZread videos because some people can be mean spirited in their comments whilst being anonymous. But when I saw this, I had comment. I’ve loved Mike Patton in every way of his genius and vocals. I’ve seen him in all his bands. His God given voice never, ever falters. I’ve never seen him in Italy, singing in perfect Italian. Nor have I seen him do any of the classical concerts he does with orchestras. I loved how you displayed the notes that he was hitting. Thank you so much for that. Educating us and proof of his octave range. I had the pleasure of meeting him in London when he was touring with Tomahawk. He’s hilarious! My heart breaks that FNM cancelled their tour due to this horrific virus. Thank you so much for this wonderful montage!

His vocals have meant more to me and been more inspirational to me than any other singer I can think of. There's never a shortage of Mike Patton creating music and being a part of other projects. He's never satisfied with just being singular there's so much f****** Variety in his voice. There's no genre of music that he hasn't touched with his vocals. And in several different languages. Glad I lived in the same time as Mike and I've been able to experience his stuff first hand. A true vocal magician
